I was looking at Hope pro 2 evo hubs with Mavic 521's at around £300 for both wheels.

I know my front hub is 15mm bolt through but im not sure what my rear is definately not normal QR it has a similar size QR skewer but the wheel does not come off with the QR still in it it pulls out much like the bolt through on the front.

Rear could be a QR bolt thru like you get from Superstar or alike.

I recently got Hope pro 2 Evo hubs on Arch Ex's from moonglu - excellent service and very very impressed with them.

Im glad moonglu got a sale on!

£428 for ProII's on Flows? Surprised they'll get any business at prices like that.

£350 on Just Riding Along and that's without a sale!

They have been "on sale" for months and months - they are always the same price just trying to look like a bargain.:D

this bike stuff is turning into a money sink!

My front wheel is bent, its the one that came with the bike and is a bit pony. Probably did the damage when i had my off and only noticed when fitting my new brakes.

What rims would you recommend for a 15 stoner who mainly does XC but will try to do anything else (ability and bike permitting) and wont buckle under my weight.

You could buy some Stans Flow on Hope hubs as mentioned by others, but a cheaper alternative are these. Cheaper yes, but no less quality IMO.

I've had mine for a year and they have been brilliant.

Edit: I'm 15 stones too, so avoid Crests unless strictly doing XC.

So it's Christmas coming up (I know, I don't do Christmas until December but people are asking) and I'm thinking of using it as a way to make my bike a bit more robust all mountain.

So the question is, ask for crc vouchers to replace the rockshox Tora SL (120mm) and with what?

Or replace the bontrager ranger rims on m475L with I'm thinking maybe XM319 on pro2 Evo?

Bought the below for the bike earlier today, but I'm having problems installing it, any advice?

This wheel talk has got me looking at upgrades. Stan's + Hope Pro Evo 2 for £280 here, tempting ...

Just need this blinking collarbone to heal first!

I would suggest you google reviews of David Hinde before committing. Pretty awful reviews everywhere about that place and being £30/£40/£50 cheaper that pretty much everywhere else made me think twice about it - reading reviews made me avoid completely!!

Do you happen to know why there are no 2012 Ragley bikes? I could only find the 2011 range

I've got the Blue Pig, and it's such a lovely bike to ride! I'm currently struggling to decide whether I prefer my GT Distortion or the Blue Pig. But it is a very fun bike, and very confidence inspiring, and that's with me coming from a Spesh Enduro. Can't really go wrong with it

Ahh, thanks for the heads up! Sounds like somewhere to avoid.

Due to being an idiot I have the following problem and question.

How much damage could I do to the drive train parts if I do 40 to 60 miles whilst using a 8 speed cassette with a 9 speed shifter? Will it be minimal, and okay to use for a few days until the right cassette turns up, or is it a total no-no?

Just got myself a Four4th Holy Moses in green.

Build quality is brilliant, very bright loads of different power settings and i chose a nice big battery.

you'll have to let us know what they are like after a few rides, i posted a link a few pages back but got no response. They look immense is the unit big? can you post a pic?
