Hi everyone, I'm after a bit of advice, my Norco has developed the dreaded yellow patches around the headset, I'll Post pics later as I'm at work, but I've contacted Evans Cycles who have allegedly contacted Norco and they've come back to me with a few options: 1: Replacement 2013 frame in a different colour but have said they cannot get a clear answer from Norco with a date and it could be as late as May!!! 2: £250 voucher or 3: Use the voucher to have it re spayed at Argos Cycles. What would you people do if you was in my situation, your help appreciated.

Yes blemishes that have originated in the paint, once I purchased the bike and doing a bit of research I found out that this is a common problem, this is what it looks like, this pic is from another website and is not a pic of mine, gives you an idea, but mine seem to be a lot deeper yellow, will upload mine later.

ride it till they get the new frame. That's what I would do.

i want to service my fox vanilla 32's ... £100 seems a bit steep to send them to Mojo so I might do them myself.
so what do i need altogether?
Pedal On have the 32mm service kit for £21, is it just some Fox Fluid that ill need aswell?
also, is it a potchy job?

Mojo do a service kit which contains the low friction seals, foam seals, new crush washers, 5 pillows of float fluid and a tub of fork oil (1ltr i think) for £42. So you can change your fork oil, seals and foam seals. But if you've got the money send them to Mojo, they will come back better than brand new!

Heres what they do: http://www.mojo.co.uk/fullservice.html

A couple of Suspension servicing alternatives:

Haven't used these guys but heard good things on the interwebs:

Other half has used these guys a few times:

You will find TFTuned and Mojo are very picky about when something needs replaced. I think with bascamp if a part will last for another year they will leave it. Saves a bit of cash.

It's just a pity they won't touch my Talas forks. Too complicated. :(

J-Tech

PLush

Both are excellent, though I think J-Tech would be my choice.

Hmm, I'd prefer having the lot done, in stead of sending my fork back and forth over shorter intervals.

this bike stuff is turning into a money sink!

My front wheel is bent, its the one that came with the bike and is a bit pony. Probably did the damage when i had my off and only noticed when fitting my new brakes.

What rims would you recommend for a 15 stoner who mainly does XC but will try to do anything else (ability and bike permitting) and wont buckle under my weight.

Got myself a camelbak mule earlier in the week from merlin cycles, went to fill the reservoir up to find it sprung a leak. Ahhh just my luck! Thank goodness I've a spare 2L tucked in the freezer.

They're replacing my bladder though, just have to send it back with a cover letter. Score!

I think Mojo are too expensive generally.

Cheapest Fork service for Fox (32mm) is £98 + £7.90 = £105.90

They do have a service kit as below, but I still think that's priced too high. I mean come on, some rubbers and some oil. That's a lot.

Maintenance Kit for 32mm forx Ref: 32KIT
Maintenance kit for 32mm forx
Kit includes pack of 32mm low friction seals, Fox 10wt Green Suspension fluid and a bottle of Float fluid
In stock £49.00

What's your budget? I'm just a little over 15 stone, and have had plenty of problems with wheels, but I got some ZTR Flow rims, and they've been perfect, with a fair few crashes as well, since that's my party trick.
