Been accused of being an aggressive driver!

OP welcome to the black and white world of OcUK Motors.

There are many among us that realise the real world is not black and white but we remain silent... most of the time.

The only thing I understand less than why you'd do something that stupid is why you'd then want to tell other people you'd done it

That would be due to the presence of humble human beings in the world without the need to seat themselves on an infallible throne.

If someone's driving too close to the back of my car I usually just slow down about 10mph, its either safe breaking distance at my original speed or close to the back of my car at the new modified slower speed .. the choice is theirs!

Oh and of course dont forget the windscreen washer liquid all over their car especially if it looks like theyve just polished it :D

To be honest, I don't get why people get so emotional when driving.

It's painful having to constantly listen to people rant about things other drivers did that angered them, and that some how, shouting about it while still in the car does something.

When asked what the shouting achieves, the response is usually "they needed to be told" despite the fact that most of the time the person being "shouted at" won't be able to hear anyway.

I absolutely Agree. I told a mate of mine this when out in the car with him. He was constantly shouting about other drivers while he was driving.

I just keep cool and slow down ... To give them more breaking distance if theyre to close.

Oh and the washer liquid cus I find that funny if theyre driving too close :D

On the way to work on friday I was traveling at 40mph (the limit on that road) and had a vectra hard up my rear end like I was holding him up. He then overtook me about 100 yards before a roundabout! I just shook my head, indicated to him in his mirror that he was number 1 and carried on to my work, he went the same way.
He stopped at my work at the fuel pumps, I said to him on the way past, "are you in that much of a hurry that you need to drive like an idiot?"
Anyway turns out he was my first MOT of the day, so you'll be surprised to learn his car didn't pass.

" Failure : visual obstruction in cabin" (magic tree on rear view mirror)

Haha. That's brilliant.

I really don't usually get emotional lol
Most of the time I leave too big a gap from the car in front (and people sometimes slot in annoyingly)
This got me because it brought back painful memories of a nasty accident I had when I was a motorcyclist - uninsured driver totalled my BMW R1100S and landed me in hospital the day before my Uni finals!

I started this thread to see if anyone thought I behaved worse that the Audi driver, which is what I'm being accused of...

Here's what happened:

Before long I noticed a black Audi A1 right up my bumper, and I mean about 2m behind me.
in the past I had two no-fault accidents due to aggressive and careless drivers

I stupidly went right up the Audi's back end,

You've had 2 no fault accidents but you still had to go right up the back end of the Audi.

What do you think of this situation??

I think you drove just as **** as her.

Live and learn. Don't rise to poor/aggressive drivers, just ignore. Its generally younger women, and blokes in very fast and expensive cars that have no concept of what an acceptable gap is.

You know the type, the guy in the bentley conti gt who races up to you in the outside lane, slams on his brakes like he didn't see you before, and keeps a two meter gap, then slams on the accelerator again the moment you indicate.
