Before I install. Can I reformat and re-install as many times as I like with this digital download and key?
Might be upgrading the SSD to a bigger drive soon, so would likely need to install again.

Another question, loosely related. If I choose to just upgrade, rather than create media and do a fresh install. Can I still create the media easily later?

Can anyone answer these 2 questions before I install today?

I upgraded, my favourite programs did not work at all well, so I am back in good old Windows 7. Feel like having an old friend back on my desk. :)

Well I got the Pro Upgrade over the weekend, snappy install in less than 30 minutes and a boot time of just under 13 seconds. Happy Days.

One question though. Can you pin URL's to the start bar. I really like the content from Pulse Newsreader on Android and I can get this through the web. At the moment there is no App in the market place for it so pinning URL's would be handy

Edit: Unimpressed by the lack of responses so far guys :p

If, at the end of the download you ask to create an iso, and then burn the iso to disk or put it on a USB I would expect you to be able to use it as often as you like legitimately.

When you pay for the upgrade you get an email with the key and a link.

I did a 32 bit download, then use the key and the link to pull the 64bit version from a PC running 64bit windows.

If you want to change your hard disk, I would use something like Acronis to copy the image.

Logged in to live account and its set to uk, windows itself is set to uk, not sure where else to look?

Mines all in £'s

Don't know where you can change it, But I do want to know what kind of quality these are in? Gives no indication if they are in HD or SD.

You getthe option in ie10 to pin the site to start screen. Not sure how to get this option up, but I'm guessing right click.

I just built a rig for a friend, it will need a new MB and CPU when funds allow but until then he will have to make do.

As he has no existing PC or upgrade path what would be best route for him to take.

7 or 8, OEM or full (if they even do one)

I'm no help as I'm still using XP.

Any Ideas ?

Thanks.

With no other OS to upgrade, the cheapest is probably the OEM Windows 8 at about £110

My current gripe, albeit a small one, is not having the number of processes listed in task manager.

I never really check it on my own machine, but when fixing someone else's, it's a handy indication of how full of crud their pc is.

I guess Process Explorer is a lot better anyway when diagnosing problems.
