Finally I have the cash :D

Overclocks weren't always saving/applying
Scrolling with mouse in bios did not work correctly
And various others but these and many others have been ironed out now, new beta's have been coming thick and fast, but the last official is a good place to start. There is a thread in the motherboard section by nelly which is updated regularly or go to the msi forums. Link to beta's http://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=161491.0

Imo the board is excellent and continues to improve, just as soon as you have it up and running get it updated.

You might want to get a GTX670(Gigabyte Windforce version is perfect) incase you wish to try 3D Vision 2 on that brilliant monitor.

You'd get so much more performance from 2x 7950s for the same price as that single 7970.

I don't really like 3D tbh it gives me a bit of head ache due to having a bit of lazy right eye so not too bothered on that one.

Just haveing a look and seems quite a bit more expensive to go for 2X 7950's.

i like the theme
tho u thought about a less corsairy case? :p

i just changed the case, cooler & psu
a lot for a case i know but the 650d isnt cheap either and i dont think the fans are that quiet?
maybe it helps maybe it dont :)

I'm really not keen on that case tbh. Also think I will just try this H100 out, I know there are mixed reviews but I see an awful lot of people using them. PSU looks good though.

wow the lianli case got dis'd!
hehe
wheres it going to be? ontop of a desk?
aslong as you like it is the main thing

Two of these for the same price as that 7970:

Or 2x of these with better coolers for £456

Will I see a much better improvement over the 7970? I was kind of put off from the Xfire set up due to extra messing about and would just get another 7970 as and when I could afford it?

Or would the 7950x2 set up be great straight out the box?

If you are aiming for 120hz gaming I would go with the 2 7950's. Also you've just basically said I don't want to go crossfire because of messing around but I'm going to go crossfire when I get more money.

HAHA yeah I see what your saying there, that's me typing without thinking correctly before hand.

What I meant was that I was a bit wary of CF/SLI compatibilty/issues and that I would go for it if I fealt I needed it in the future.

However if your saying I am more likely to see a big improvement by going for it straight away then I will do.

here's mine at stage 1 of build, water cooling going in this weekend.

cooler is the first revision dark rock

and obviously the mpower and lightning
