Homeland

because he said "I've just come straight from the airport to here" rather than "I tried your sisters, you weren't there, they said you were here, here you are!" :)

Just because he didn't say it doesn't mean he didn't. He probably stopped for petrol as well but you wouldn't expect him to mention that either as he has something a little more important to talk about. The whole point Of saying that was to tell her it was important And that he's come to her before the CIA.

Actually that is precisely the type of thing you would mention seeing as those two are pretty close and he would have realised she was not under the care of her sister / father. Which of course the writers had to highlight given the unneccesary added drama of trying to top herself. It's the sort of thing you wouldn't gloss over given her known condition. Anyway bored of that, it was still a ridiculous episode :)

Agree with sanaxe, no reason why he didn't go to her parents house first but not mention it. He's not a woman; "So the flight was great, I watched blah blah, then my bag was like last off the conveyor, oh and btw some Lebanon security guy is totes working for the terrorisers, anyway so I came here but I needed the toilet so I stopped at the service station on the way..." etc.

I thought it was a good episode. Yeah we wanted to see what happened with the card but it also provided a lot of character development and I actually thought the whole story with the shirt maker was pretty tense the whole way through and horrible to watch in terms of the situation he kept finding himself in. Me and my girlfriend almost felt sorry for him until you remembered who he was etc. It's clearly leading up to something where he has a fall out with Abu Nazeer for all the pressure and duties they're putting him under.

It was not the time to bring up the information. He has just found out that a congressman and potential future vice president is infact a terrorist and working for the CIA's most wanted man. Who happens to be the same guy who caused her to basically have a mental break down and lose her job when infact she was right all along. This would have been what he wanted to talk about... not her living arangements.

So who expects them to lose the vid/have it stolen/destroyed without making backups?
I completely expect something silly like that to happen in the show :P

The thing is is it has to be, otherwise the show is over.

It's going to get passed to the mole who'll dispose of it. I still think the mole is the black guy, head of the department or whatever his role is. He's the only character that's had enough screen time other than Sol to be the mole, and if it was Sol then he wouldn't have shown in to Carrie in the first place. Or it could be the younger CIA guy, but he's literally the only other option really.

I still think Saul is going to die before they get the word out to the masses at the CIA. I don't think David is the mole as it's too obvious. But it has got to be someone really high-up to know the information that they do. Perhaps a character we haven't met yet? No, can't be.

What did peeps think of Episode 3?

Mind = blown.

I can't have been the only one practically shouting at the TV at the end "Carrie WTF are you doing?!"

Methinks Dana is going to have a much bigger part to play in it, she's definitely a daddy's girl, and has had a lot of screen time the last few episodes, especially compared to her brother (who's name I can't even remember he's been that insignificant).

That coupled with the fact she's just hooked up with the VP's son makes me think she's potentially going to be recruited (or at least attempted to).

Also wondering if Brody's (ex) marine buddies are going to end up actually trying to help him, since they think he's actually working for the CIA...

I think the second season has been great in general. The only thing I dislike about the show is that it brings out all the muppets crying out that they know exactly how the CIA work and how one little thing ruined it for them.

The rubbish about filming locations being wrong skype calls. Who cares. For all we know, the CIA might have a special secure version of Skype they use. Just watch the series and try to enjoy it.

They're all possibilities but what I'm thinking of is what's going to happen for the rest of the series!? Brody has been arrested in episode 3! As has been apparent, there's someone very high up in the government and/or CIA whose been tipping the terrorists off. I reckon that same person will somehow orchestrate Brody's release. Perhaps the memory card will be destroyed or go missing. Loved the emotion and tension in the hotel room when she confronted him!

I'm still racking my brains as to who the insider is. It can't be Saul as that would be too obvious a twist. But in the same sense it can't be David. So is it someone we haven't met yet? Is it actually someone close to the VP who is trying to orchestrate a sort of coup under the veil of a terrorist attack?

If Skype does have decent security then it is pretty likely that they would get some of the developers in as contractors. Whether or not they'd put the SKype logo on it is debateable but as you say, it's neither here nor there. The only time I have a problem with it is when the product place is so blatent and over the top that it makes you laugh and takes you away from the story. This hasn't happened to me in Homeland yet. I'm talking about when they drive about in a car and then the actor completely unnaturally and for no reason starts to describe the features the car has to their passenger, they did this in house lol.

Haha, what? It was clearly product placement, pure and simple. They might as well have just gone the whole way and sent secure communication over Facebook Messenger.
