Wow, that is nice! Am I right in thinking you could connect a keyboard, mouse, external hdd and a monitor via HDMI? If the Note has to sit in the dock vertically, wouldn't the monitor also have the display vertically if that makes sense?
I bought this one and came with a nice screen protector as well..
It's a really nice case

I'm probably going to get lynched for this, but I'm home in a month and am either getting this or the iPhone 5, the iPhone 5 has costs incurred when purchasing unless you go 45+ a month, where as the Note 2 has 36 a month free phone with O2.
Besides that, hardware/performance wise, for what reasons does the note dominate the iPhone 5?
The only upside I'm seeing is that i'll be able to lolfacetime with the missus if I buy an iphone (she's got a 4S)

I have an iPhone 4 and IMO iOS is only worth considering if you can jailbreak it, which there won't be for iOS6 or iPhone 5 for the foreseeable future. Apple have ****ed me off too much so I'm ditching them to try out android![]()
I disagree. I think the iPhone is a great bit of a kit as a phone. Far more user friendly and intuitive than my Note is.
The fact it is so restricted doesn't bother me so much on the iphone. On the iPad it drives me crazy but on a phone its tolerable.
The Note I'm finding NEEDS a lot of customising to make it comfortable and efficient to use, whilst the iphone was comfortable from day one.
for me the Note dominates the iPhone because the screen is fantastic and has a very useful pen.
If you both get an app called Tango I think it is then you can video call across platforms using your data.
Fair points and I do agree with them, which is why I'm really having to force myself to make the move. I love the sleekness and 'user friendlyness' of iOS - it's just fallen behind now. Google Maps is one thing I use a lot, so either I buy an android phone, or forever stay on iOS5. That's not the only reason for the desire to change, I'll just make that clear
I don't have a tablet, which is why I'm looking at the "phablet" so I can have an all in one device. I've just been playing with the Note2 and I think I'll adjust to the size quickly. I've decided I'm going to buy it outright. Yes it's a lot of money, but then I'm not tied into anything. I can easily sell the note 2 if I don't get on with it and go for the Nexus 4 for example.
