Just ask to be put on to a technician and be persistent. Problem solved.
No it didn't work like that for me with TalkTalk, but thankyou for your helpful advice
I was with them around 9 months, everything seemed OK, I was getting a monthly bill and the service was fine.
Then one day I came home and my internet was down, I tried the phone and it was totally dead.
I have been cut off without warning for non payment of bills? WTF?
I had received no warning letters from TalkTalk on the contary I had 9 months worth of bills and payments.
It turned out that somewhere along the line, despite the fact that the first 3 payments went out perfectly they had made an error (not me) with my bank details, the account number was one figure out.
Instead of a warning, a phonecall, an email or a letter I was cut off, this had possible negative effects on my credit rating despite making regular payments (or so I thought).
The same day I met a SKY salesman in the street, I told him what had happened, he took the case over for me, got me reconnected free of charge (BT wanted a reconnection fee!) and I have been with SKY ever since.
I don't have TV, just phonecalls and unlimited broadband, it costs around £23 a month
with line rental.
I can't grumble at all
