Shoot scheduled for Sunday 18th. Storyboards complete, time to cast!

I've nicknamed mine "The Fish bowl" :D

Did you ever have back/front focusing issued with your 85 1.2? Mine was fine the other week, then when I (fortunately) went ahead to a party before it started, I noticed it was back focusing quite a bit. I had to dial in +2 and it's spot on now. Just wondering what can cause the shift, or can it be the case that if you're taking photos nearer you it's less noticeable? I've never had back/front focusing issues before, or the option to change so I'm curious.

Nothing wrong with the lens now I've dialled in that adjustment. Just seems odd :)

Finally got a couple of shots with my 105mm:

Really tiny spider that dropped out of the sky on the stairs! Impressed by the quality, I just need to work on my technique... drastically...

Upgraded the PC to 16gb of RAM, just putting it through it's paces now stitching 30 photos together in Photoshop, only 7gb in use... score!

Finally, I splurged... again... working in a camera shop, sooo many temptations! I should be able to get my grimy mits on it on Tuesday, I'ma go out and look boss testing it out. What is it? You'll have to wait and see :p

Konova K2 dolly/slider, the 80cm version which is plenty big enough for shots but compact enough to be easy to carry around. Loving it so far!

I can't wait to do some proper shots with it. I'm looking to get more into video as I'm moving to Vancouver in March and want to create some films to complement the blog my girlfriend and I have started. I think it's just about small enough to fit in my hold luggage as well which is a bonus.

Oh, and the Velbon video head which was about £34 or something.

how many people have the Canon 135 L 2.0 here? Do you find it gets used pretty regularly?
tempted to get one but need some convincing that it would come out of the bag.

It's one of my favourite lenses and I use it A LOT at weddings I do, in fact when it comes to candid shots at weddings I pretty much exclusively use my 85 and my 135.

It's amazing. Get it.

Can I ask how much you paid?

It was £152 including delivery from South Korea. For the money, it's awesome (although I have NO experience of other sliders of any type)! I bought it direct from Konova through their Amazon store.

Not bad! I paid ~£200 for the Varavon direct from SK. There are a whole bunch of very well made brands coming from there right now, it seems foolish to buy from RedrockMicro or Zaguto at 3 times the price. I'd used Varavon before in UAE where the eastern brands are more common so just went with that. Let me know how you get on, I'll push that name to students etc.

Will do. To be honest, I've not done any video work before so this is all very new to me. I was very impressed with the packaging though. For a 'cheap' product, it came with a carry case, it was well packages and the quality of the product itself is very high, really solid and sturdy.

I too was looking at those links and always been fascinated with gliders, never had the balls to make a DIY but these look like a fantastic alternative than the other brands that can cost 2 or 3 times the price!

Will look through these alternative. Thanks
