Show us your kitty cats

Just noticed now, that Snoopy has been in a fight.

The BF nipped out before and said that there were 2 cats fighting in the front gardens (we are the end house in a row of terrace houses) but he couldn't see the cats themselves.

I stuck my head out and all was quiet. Snoopy came in the back door about 10 mins later and went straight upstairs - didn't think anything of it at the time. This was at about 5.30pm.

Just been up stairs now to change our bed and Snoopy was lying on it. I stroked her for a bit, but there was no purring or friendly meow like normal...she moved off the bed and I noticed she was limping on her back left side.

On closer inspection she has part of a nail/claw in her head and the fir on her right back side/ flank is matted...she doesn't want to be touched...and guys...she refused Dreamies  :(

What can I do!? She is walking with a slight limp, but she grumbled when she had to jump up on to the living room chair, which is where she is now.

How the hell am I going to get this claw out of her head?!? She wont let me near her to put flea treatment on her - I have to sneak that on her when she is eating

Do you think she needs to go to the vets?!?

My baby is hurting and I don't know what to do :( :( :(

Well she is okay this morning, purring and came to wake me up.

Managed to stroke the nail out of her fur on her head:

She is walking fine and didn't mind me touching her legs and flank

I definitely think her pride was hurt and she had landed funny on her leg :)

Messing about with the new camera yesterday, and Feeb is my mainstay model for such tests. :)

I love her face in this one, cracks me up. Emotive little feline when she wants to be.

Hey Guys,

Always followed this thread as I have wanted a kitten for a while, finally the Mrs and I decided on getting one and here she is (photo from over a month ago now)... Let me introduce Peanut.

However wondering if I can get some advice on food and also some things that have been a bit odd/worrying.

She has been wormed etc... however she seems to sometimes bleed when having a poop, we checked with the vet and he said its normal in kittens sometimes, he checked her out and said nothing was wrong with her and to possibly look at giving her some wet food in the evenings maybe. We tried this and hasn't really made any difference to her, I am not sure if we should look at other brands, any recommendations welcome.

Currently using Science Plan (the vets recommended, however they sell it so obvious they would).

The other thing isn't a huge problem but recently she has been wanting to suckle on either mine or the mrs hands, googled this and seems normal (we got her at 9 weeks) but is this something we should try and stop?

Thanks for all the help and here is another few photo's, her personality is amazing, although she seems to act more like a dog..

Magic :D

Awww Scientific, Peanut is so cute!

Makes me want Lola to be a teeny weeny baby again!

:)

Does anyones cat ever go into a really really deep sleep where nothing wakes them. Dave was led on the bed with me last night, and I was scratching his ear and the side of his head for ages. He flopped down on the bed and went to sleep. Shortly after I got up to go for a wee, came back, and he didn't even open his eyes at me getting in and out of the bed.

Normally they either follow me, or come and sit in the hallway waiting for me to come back to bed. I even spoke to him, and he was properly fast asleep. He eventually got up about 10 minutes later. I'm not concerned that anything was wrong with him, more just wondering if this happens to other peoples cats.

Kittens should do this quite frequently iirc. Although I'm unsure as to whether they don't wake up because they feel safe or because they're not alert.

Honestly, its the first time he's been THAT asleep, he's usually quite nervy and jumps at every noise. It was quite nice to see in one way, cos he was nice and relaxed, which doesn't seem to happen that often with him.

Any good options for over the counter anti-flea stuff (we used to use Frontline on our old cat, but it seems to get mixed reviews now), or should I lug the cat down to the vets to get a prescription for Advocate which is what the sanctuary were using on her?
