Hi all

Per the title. Just got a 3570k, Giga D3H, 7850 and its all being brought down by my woefully slow hard drives..

Also, will 120gb be enough for Windows + Office + Basic stuff + Steam games (CS:GO, TF2 etc.) + BF3 + Farcry 3 (when it comes out)?

-- Or can I install the less important applications (Office :D ) on the hard drive...

Clueless, as ever.

Cheers

It's only SATA-II which means you'd get much slower speeds when compared to the faster SATA-III drives which your motherboard supports.

Ah, but, if the maximum read / write of the best commercially available *PCI-E* (which i understand to be the faster interface) SSDs are only 8 or 900 MB/s.. Isn't this a bit like buying a gigabit switch for home networking? :p

Or am I mixing bits and bytes again..? :D

I install Steam on a separate hard drive then the games are auto downloaded the folder on that drive so no fiddling with paths ect. It's certainly a cheaper alternative.
