RMA: Update, Had a reply yesterday saying my MSI Lighting 7970 is faulty and a replacement is due within 10 day. So happy with that. Thanks for the people who tried to help! its feels crap when things go wrong!
I brought a new pump from OC which got delivered today, looks good:
Can someone tell me, which bit is the out and in if they have this pump!!
This below is my temporary water cooling setup, sorry for the bad pic's (Iphone 4)
borrowing my girlfriends GPU till I get my MSI Lighting 7970 back from RMA
Once I have everything, I will be going water chilled with this:
HAILEA 1000A Water Chiller.
I tested the HAILEA 1000A with just my 3930K just after my MSI Lighting 7970 went faulty, had some amazing result, to get my 3930K to 5Ghz I need 1.58 on Vcore, the highest core temps was 27c at idle the rest was 25,21 etc, on full load was 38c sometimes hitting the 40c mark, thats the unit set to 16c.
When I set the unit to 10c, idle temps was a cold 17c and full load was 35c, however mum had the heating blasting out so ambient temps was around 29c due to that, really bad condensation was beginning to form so had to stop. Unit can be set from 28c all the way down to 4c
Unit has a 1600 watt of cooling power, in which it can cool down 1000 litres of water down to 4c in 20 hours. Due to a pc reservoir only holds 3 litres of coolant max. 4c can be achieved in 3 mins. One thing I did notice, my pump, which is the EK DCP 4.0 was struggling to keep the coolant flowing, so had to invest in a more powerful pump.
My MSI lighting will be going water chilled once its back, got the EK-FC7970 Lightning - Acetal+Nickel waterblock for it. Hopefully overclock the hell out of it.
Once project is finished will post pic's up.
