My Dog Eats Its Own Poo

This is why I prefer cats.

They mark their spots, crap, and cover it over.

No upsetting anyone.

One of my two Dog's did it too but ate sheep feces instead. Not all Dogs do it but it's nothing to be concerned about. It'll grow out of it soon enough.
 
My dog eats its own vom, many a times I have fed dog, come back to find she's been sick and started to eat it before I can get it and stop her.

Turds though!! Just lol :p
 
One of my three dogs regularly eats poo... her own, her sisters', random poo in the park.
She's now 5 so no chance of it just being a phase, though with yours being a pup you may get lucky.
 
Be careful with this because any negative input from you may also lead the pup to associate bad things with having a poo (which obviously you don't want.)

Personally depending on how long the pups been doing it, I'd wait a bit to see if he grows out of it. Or go the food additives direction and hope it goes well.
