You seem to think i am getting upset about this :p ?

I am just saying it is a ridiculous request.

I did think you were, but I guess I'm just seeing red from the glare off the backs of the necks of other posters.

I don't see the harm in asking, it's not as if people who won't eat gelatin for one reason or another are a tiny section of society. Perhaps they should stock only gelatin free sweets even ones that taste like ****, that seems like the best solution given that you can't complain about a freebie.

The drop down list suggested was a good idea, one that allows you to choose from a wide range of goodies, perhaps a Sherbet Dip wouldn't go amiss.

*edit*

Lol, I just thought it was quite a leap to make envisioning OcUK stopping all Haribo dispatches because of this thread.

I can see a new vacancy coming up at OcUK.

Head of decision making (with regards to non-controversial confectionery-related free items)

 i must have missed where OCUK have decided no longer to offer haribo sweets to their customers due to offending or alienating a particular ethnic group.

The OP just asked if it was possible to supply halal haribo, which people are forgetting in here...he hasnt once demanded that OCUK supply him with halal haribo.

I never said OcUK have stopped providing them

My point is that if people start to become offended as the sweets don't conform to the requirements of a particular religious/ethnic group then they will be removed altogether. Why would OcUK risk damaging their brand over the inclusion of a packet of sweets which must cost them < 5p when bought in bulk. It's a gesture to build goodwill, OcUK can't ensure that every religious/ethnic group are catered for as it would be inefficient and would negate the point of doing this in the first place. This perk would simply be removed.
