2006 VW Toureg 3.0 V6

I think I'd rather have a Porsche Cayenne. At least you get some badge to go with all the hassle of owning one, it's fundamentally the same car but with an engine range that isn't cack.

Lol with this on the back :)

Poor guy who paid £47k - ouch!

He's the fool.

Can't give this sort of machine away at the moment.

It's got the same switches as my A5 Octavia, which made me chuckle.

@Fox - No-one knows their cars like you geezer. ;)

UGLY as sin!!

This is the one time that VW has more kudos than Porsche IMO.

I don't want to insult any Cayenne owners with what I was about to say. :o

It also lives on a farm, and actually needs 4 x 4 drive.

The proximity alarms go crazy driving up the narrow lanes though!

given hes a land rover man then he wont be too annoyed when the touareg breaks down. not exactly the most reliable 4x4. woman at work has one and it spent about 4 months in the garage in the first 12 months of ownership.

Because it's a 6 year old German car? Hobbies including going wrong, yet again.

I appreciate that this thread will now go the way they normally do when you ask about bills, which will be your beleif that because you had an X5 that didn't break, then thats the norm :p

The x5 has needed stuff doing but nothing eye watering. I guess I'm the exception to your rule that 8 year old German diesel cars are 100% obliged to get car AIDS at least every 3 months and that a £600 per year warranty is the only way to protect yourself. Lucky me.
