Who is having problem with battery? Mine has been excellent, I wonder if there are some bad devices out there?

Yesterday I used 2 hours of GPS nokia drive, whilst playing music via bluetooth to my head unit and it only used 20% of my battery.

Everyday I am left with more battery than I did on my iPhone 4.

I also have wifi, bluetooth and GPD enabled all the time :/

Something must be draining battery.

My only complaint with the phone is the lack of push notifications, but I assume that will come soon.

Mine is significantly better today than yesterday. It has now had 2 full cycles from 0 to 100%. Yesterday it managed 11 hours. Today it has been going for 6 hours and is still at 75%. It reckons I have another 22 hours of use left

Off the charge since 9 this morning and my battery is still saying 100% lol

Really? You got battery saver on or something? How many days have you had it?

Lithium Ion batteries are notoriously difficult to tell the current charge of. The tend to stay full, then drop off real quick. The battery charge level indicator is code that needs time to learn about the battery. Give a few days and it should be fine.

I have mine now.. Its pretty amazing. :)

Question though. Is anyone on o2? Are you having problems with your mobile data? I cant get it to work at all....?

EDIT: Fixed. :)

Could you tell me what you did ? Having trouble getting mine going with O2.
Got a signal and stuff ok, just a bit baffled on how to get data working.
ta!

First full day today, so see how it goes, faffing about with it a little.
Wifi on, BT on, push on.
When through applications and turned a load of pointless background stuff off.
Battery saver is not on, saying ive got a day and 15hrs worth left lol.

im just hopeful and waiting patiently for andy to make a major announcement - the whole world will shut down listening to the announcement... that he found the unlock solution! :p

this works on my htc 8x

from memory...

in accounts goto advanced and type in google mail addy and pass

click exchange

set server to : m.google.com

login: full gmail addy

leave all other setting there....

in mail client goto settings and uncheck 'in conversations show replies from all sync folders' (this setting messes it up)

then I went to m.google.com/sync in explorer

log in and select your wp8 device...

I checked 'allow send mail as for this device'

I unchecked 'delete email as trash', this setting broke deleting emails.

sorry above is rough, I am going from memory, but it gave mne perfect gmail sync push email and sending through other accounts (which I do in gmail)

Thanks! - I didn't even think to try this even though I had my iPhone setup like this.

Push email, now its only FB which needs push notifications and my final gripe shall be done.

i wouldnt know even how my friend. Sure I work in IT etc... but just wouldnt have much of a clue at all. Leave it to the expert I say ;)

I had never flashed any WP until last week, now I have done it 3 times, the guide posted earlier lists the steps. As it is such a new device, there aren't any experts, we are all learning...

Also if the Lithium ion battery is discharged too much then it won't charge up, the so called "deep discharge" which can destroy the battery. Most devices indicate the battery is depleted when it's probably got 10% or so left.

You got find my phone and tap & send on?
That seems really good!

Can anyone recommend a good car charger for the 920?

I've been using my charger for my dell venue pro, but today while using navigon for approx 2hrs the battery was slowly draining suggesting the charger is not suppling enough current. Incidentally it charged the phone no problem when navigon was turned off.

Get a 2.1 amp model, more than enough.

Incidentally, I see Dpreview will be reviewing the 920 camera soon. They posted about a review done by Slashgear and how the tests they were doing weren't exactly perfect. Which re-affirms my belief that the camera is good, just not in the hands of the masses?

I have been using the USB port in my car to keep mine topped up.
It only outputs 500ma so it takes ages to do anything but its better than nothing!

Would be great to get a Qi wireless charger for the cup holder or something to just rest the phone in and not have to plug it in!

I think I'm going to invest in a gel case.
