Awesome home/office chairs?

Any tips on where to get one?

That's looking like a really nice chair and maybe a bit easier on the wallet (or maybe not some of the prices I see are confusing =/ ).
There isn't much in it. The Steelcase is good - it is usually 'Steelcase or Herman Miller'. I understand, though, that the HM Embody is more up to date in terms of ergonomics and the research that went into it.

You should try them both. The Steelcase is a chair and supports you like a chair. The Embody supports you almost however you want to sit, but in the best reclined working position, supports you like a tailored chair as if you're floating.

When testing them, look out for amount of contact. The more supportive contact that a chair has across your back and behind, the better (so the load is spread).

I got the Kashmir Microfibre Manager's Chair on recommendation fro OcUK, and its so very comfy.

Downside is I have a tendancy to fall asleep in it studying late.

Surprised no one has mentioned it but i'll put in the usual recommendation of the staples kashmir. its the closest thing you will get to a sofa on casters.

wait for it to go on sale for £120 because it really isnt worth £240.

what i would recommend is trying chairs out before you buy them. dont forget to wiggle around into whatever weird positions you like sitting in because some chairs are comfy when you sit in the normally but really uncomfortable when you move around in them

*edit*
typical, the thread was four hours old and no one had mentioned the kashmir but when i started typing someone else beat me to it
