It's about the going rate TBH. Seems to be the same with the rest of the prices - with the 'discounts' they're now about the same price as everyone else.

I think it's probably as pointed out early in the thread. They put the price to the RRP for a while and then put it on 'megasale' at the price it was previously.

Yup, exactly the same as DFS and other 'constant sale' type companies.

Untrue.

You might have an idea what's going on sale because you would put the POS out and move stock around, but it's rare that you would know the price until you printed the tickets for display the night before (or on the morning). As for limited stock, we were never allowed to buy it ourselves.

Online is online anyway, they won't know anything about it.

While you may consider it untrue, I certainly remember receiving such emails when I was working within DSGi, of course, that was a few years ago now, and perhaps they've curtailed that practice..

I saw on shacknews, some Black Friday deal in the states had a 3TB External for $90

Rubbish deals, it brings their prices down to slightly more than other places. Shame as the t27b550 looks good but its £6 cheaper else where and slightly outside what I would like to spend.

Exactly, the high street has got to be doomed. In a few years I'm sure it will be coffee and clothes shops only.

All depends on rent.
A recent report showed 12% off shops are vacant.
Well lower your rent, some high streets are doing amazingly well.
Lower rent and get the locally produced or niche markets up.
Be it a proper butcher or indie clothes and everything inbetween.
Gloucester road in bristol should be what a high street is like. An amazing butchers, fishmonger, bakery hand made wood furniture,discount shop, several alternative clothes shop, proper music shop, tattoo places. Just has a bit of everything and is always rammed on the weekend.
