Most enjoable RPG of the moment?

Nothing will ever beat the Witcher series, if you think otherwise I believe talk is over and it is time to step outside and handle this the old fashioned way :p

LOL!

I am sure they could add more content to The Witcher series.

either engine would do me, I enjoyed both.

I some ways I actually preferred the first one. They could have re-used the Aurora engine for me, I just wanted more story!!!

I want more!!

Witcher 1 has a good mod that overhauls the textures making it look pretty sweet. Also has a decent rain mod, just modding mine up atm ready for another playthrough :)

Will give Witcher 1&2 another playthrough each this winter so that's great to know. Cheers.:)

I loved Fallout 3 and New Vegas but can't say I've really played any of the others.

I am trying to get into Skyrim currently and I'm about 30 hours in but for some reason its just not gripping me. The visuals and soundtrack are absolutely stunning but the I'm finding the story and missions a bit meh....:(

Also the Stalker series are well worth a look imo. I enjoyed them all despite their faults.

guys reason i was not into dark souls was having tried demon souls on ps3 i got frustrated by checkpoint system where if u die you have to replay last 30 minutes or so of your life you last played etc

Fallout 3 + NV, dragon age: origin, skyrim, dark souls are all amazing games. Witcher 1 & 2 seemed pretty good but I never completed them, think I managed about half way in both before playing something else.

Dark Souls largely does away with that, rather than a central hub (The Nexus) as in Demon Souls, where each area is seperated and split into levels, Dark Souls is pretty much an open world game.

The checkpoint system is via bonfires which are placed much more frequently throughout the world than the checkpoints in Demon's Souls, you will respawn to the last one visited when you die, you can also level up, repair weapons/armour etc when at a bonfire, also your health potion (Estus Flask) will fully replenish at each bonfire so no more hunting for crescent moon/half moon grass etc. It's a much more forgiving system imo than that of Demon souls which punished you much harder for dying.

Dark Souls retains the high difficulty level but is imo a much fairer system and generally a more balanced and enjoyable game, if you were frustrated by Demon's Souls don't let it put you off Dark Souls because they're entirely different games, with Dark Souls imo being far superior.

Currently playing Demon's Souls on my PS3 after first playing Dark Souls on the PC, and although I'm enjoying the game and progressing quite well, I'm just not feeling the same immersion or getting the wow factor and buzz that I got from playing Dark Souls.

Demon's Souls was a different game IMO, they don't even feel all that similar gameplay wise. I prefered Demon's over Dark though, but that was because Demon's was much harder, whereas Dark is just trial and error, you had a lot of room for mistakes. In Demon's you have 1/2 HP when 'undead' which is pretty horrible, and if you want full HP you'll get invaded. :p

Dark is a good step forward though, not dumbed down as such, just had some features removed and some added.

The Witcher > the Witcher 2 (except for the gfx). I haven't even finished the 2nd game yet as the story just bored the **** out of me. Have completed the first 3 times.

Would have to agree, I struggled to finish TW2, but would have happily played another 100 hours of the first one!

Do you still have your PS3? If so I can't recommend Dragon's Dogma highly enough. I spent so much time on that game and never got sick of it, but it did start getting incredibly easy on New Game+. However they're releasing more DLC for it as well as a hardcore mode which'll definitely get me playing again.
