I am off work sick today with food poisoning. I had a rather tasty curry Saturday night but after that I have been quite ill. I suspect the curry was the culprit as the only other thing I had to eat was cheese and brown sauce sandwich.

Would it be worth giving the curry house a ring later and telling them they gave me food poisoning and asking what they can do about it, or just chalk it up to a lesson and not use them again (used them for the past 3 years).

The curry house won't do anything for you. Your only path is to raise it with the food standards agency, though don't expect any compensation or anything for your ordeal.

As above, chalk it up and move on. Don't think you will get anywhere with the curry house.

Get better soon!

A mate of mine was forever berating the filthy kebab house down the road from our local drinking spot. Never stopped him eating there on a Saturday night. The inevitable Sunday illness was nothing to do with 10 pints of Guinness and several JDs...

How do you know it's food poisoning? I know many cases where people just asume they have it becasue they feel ill a few days later, often discovered as a virus / just ill

Hey guys, let's all go and sue the last place we ate the next time we are ill.

The world owes us all something after all, right? Right??

You can't prove it was the curry that made you ill. Could just be a random stomach bug, who knows? Especially that no one else was ill.

I can't even believe you are thinking of going down the route of compo. The curry house will do nothing for you, stop being a blame-culturist, compo seeking tumor on society.
