Woman saves fox from hounds

Nutter, I wouldn't run into a bunch of dogs attacking something and I wouldn't touch a fox, they're nasty little buggers.

Most of the hunts I ever went on the poxy fox got away anyway. And before anyone starts throwing accusations about, the hunts I participated in where perfectly legal and either involved only one or two dogs to flush out the fox to be shot, or used a pack in Scotland for the same outcome, although I never really liked the pack hunting, for me it was really about hunting with a rifle.

I understand some people disagree with all forms of hunting and they are entitled to their opinion.

Try hunting without hounds, let us know how that goes, not very well.

And this case was made at the time the ban was introduced. It failed to change the outcome. If you need dogs to hunt they should be controlled. If they can't be controlled they shouldn't be used.

If the result of a ban on hunting with dogs is disastrous for the country the law will be changed. Until then the law must be respected.

I know its hard to believe but they arent a pack of wild dogs, as far as the hounds are concerned any human is basically a deity, you can see them immediately back away from the fox when they realise she would like it. She wasnt ever in any danger from the dogs unless she is allergic to affection and dog saliva.

Hunting with dogs is disgusting.

The poor animal must be absolutely terrified before it gets set upon. For anyone to actually get pleasure from inflicting that upon a defenceless animal leaves me disgusted and bewildered, and they are no more than savage animals themselves.

I would much rather pay a little more for my meat than see hunting with dogs reintroduced as would the vast majority of the population, so that argument is codswallop.

fox hunting is barbaric, anyone who condones this vicious, brutal activity is a pleb.

Have you not read any of the previous posts?

Would you prefer livestock to be ripped apart or lose one fox?

What livestock are ripped apart and why?

Ah ha, the exact reason you think its wrong, you don't understand the reasons behind fox hunting. So your basing your judgement on only one side and not looking at the full picture.

The majority of huntsmen are farmers, each year we lose dozens of lambs, sheep, chickens and ducks due to foxes.
And why? Did you seriously ask why a fox kills livestock? They dont walk into Tesco and order the meat like you.

Have a look a for yourself at the regular work of foxes:

Foxes are vial creatures that maul and kill livestock, that is why they are hunted.

Is that why hunts were actively breeding foxes? Is that why the red fox was deliberately introduced to other countries such as Australia (with disastrous consequences for the indigenous wildlife)?

A gross indictment and completely undermines anything being said in defence of this kind of Fox hunting if true.

Got any sources?

Since the ban was introduced, based on the evidence available, your point is irrelevant.

If there's such a compelling case for hunting with dogs, why did it fail to stop the ban.

Oh dear... discussing something you know nothing about.

Evoss,

You are one arrogant and condescending individual. No point reasoning with you as you are clearly unwilling to listen to anyone else's views

Because the ban has done absolutely nothing besides move hunting out of the public eye.

Really against fox hunting with dogs, i understand the reason behind them being hunted, but id prefer them to just be shot, painless and quick, no need for it to be ripped to bits by dogs with some toff sat there on the horse enjoying it.

Oh dear, trying to discuss something using already failed arguments and then resort to belittling the people who disagree with you.

No, I'm saying that you have no prior experience and all you opinion is based upon the negative publicity of it.
