Woman saves fox from hounds

Yes you all have the right to your opinion, but unless you know the reasons behind it and unless you are 100% of how a farm operates, especially a free range farm, you cant outright say it is wrong.

Hunting with dogs is not humane. Simples.

Bunch of azzwipes on horses out for a bit of cruel fun.

The sight of a hunt going across the countryside, through woods etc is fantastic. A real spectacle. Not a huge fan of ripping foxes to pieces, though.

Can we get a poll going, Id really be interseted to see the numbers for and aganist here.

* Hmm also got a warning for not starring a letter out, super.

Obviously the poll would be in favor of the fox due the majority of the population being urban dwellers, so a poll is completely void.

So what you saw in that video was right then?

Whatever the reasons behind it, I can't possibly think it is ever right to do such a thing, especially with dogs.

Surely Laws are based on the majority views, so if the majority of the people think this is sick then it should be stoped?

I suggest you read the Burns report an investigation into hunting by the Labour government. It was concluded that hunting with hounds was not cruel.

Typical country-bumpkin arrogance.

"You city folk don't understand how we do these".

"In rural communities, support for the ban is also high. Seven in 10 (72%) want to see foxhunting remain illegal, whilst 82% think deer hunting should continue to be banned and 86% support the ban on hare hunting and coursing."

The poll, by Ipsos MORI, shows that nearly twice as many Tory supporters favour the ban as want it repealed. More than six out of 10 (62%) say that fox hunting should NOT be made legal again, with just one in three (33%) saying it should be (five per cent say they do not know).

Over eight in 10 (83%) of Labour supporters are against fox hunting being legalised, compared to 13% in favour. Just three per cent say they do not know.

Three quarters (77%) of Liberal Democrat voters are against repeal, against 19% in favour – with the undecideds at five per cent.

Among the general public as a whole, three in four (75%) support the ban on fox hunting remaining, and only 21% want repeal.

I know its hard to believe but they arent a pack of wild dogs, as far as the hounds are concerned any human is basically a deity, you can see them immediately back away from the fox when they realise she would like it. She wasnt ever in any danger from the dogs unless she is allergic to affection and dog saliva.
Yeah, I'm aware of that but I'd still not intervene dogs attacking a fox even knowing they are trained.

You haven’t read any posts in this discussion have you?

So this law should be ignored because in you opinion the people are ignorant?
Regardless, the law is ignored as the control of vermin needs to be kept under control.

So it’s not ok for a lion to rip apart gazelle. You may say that that they hunt to survive, true, but the nature of the hound is to hunt to survive.

No, because the majority of the population do not understand the reasons behind it.

And the ignorance is expressed clearly in this thread when such comments such as build better sheds, and fence your fields safer are made.

Makes we wonder have these people ever stepped foot in the countryside.

Amongst all the 'but it needs to be done', 'what about poor fluffykins the lamb' etc. i've yet to hear a single good reason why hunting a fox for pest control somehow seems to require that all involve dress up, have a drink, chase it for a few miles with a couple of dozen dogs etc.

This complete denial that it is partaken in as a sport above and beyond a utility is absolutely laughable. A bit of honesty would go a long way to convincing many people that the hunting may be necessary.
