Just spoke to Clove too, ordered about a black one about an hour after the email went out and I will be getting one when they get their stock next week..cannot wait dont think I have ever been this excited for a phone!

Is it me or is there a severe lack of 'Qi' charger plates on eBay, non-nokia / alternatives to Nokia or am I missing something here?
It's not you. Also the Nokia ones that are listed are listed under some code (the Nokia ref number) and hard to find. I found one once and clicked on "more like this" to find quite a few more (they go for around £50). Think I'll just pop into a EE store, rumour is they're 'only' £40.

They're going for £50 ish on ebay, there was one a few days ago for £43.

If you go into EE, they're £39.99.

Code for them's DT-900 for the plate, DT-910 for the stand.

Woo hoo, after weeks of trying I've finally been approved as a member.

Has anyone who ordered via p4u got an email yet regarding their free speaker? I've had it confirmed (via an email to their support) that I was inside the first 500, but not yet received anything else.

I've sent off for my free charger, but not received that either.

Also for anyone who was looking at the gel case that covered the camera button and volume buttons, it loosens up after a few days of use and is pretty good at preventing accidental pushes.

If anyone has an American Express card and an Xbox if you register the former on the latter you get £25 off a £50 spend at the Carphonewarehouse. I hope they get some chargers in before the end of December, as the discount ends.

My 920 case arrived today. I just hope I'm one of the lucky ones to get my order fulfilled with the December batch. They've got my cash, so it better bloody well had.

Wireless charging isn't mainstream yet.

Stick to the Nokia one though, my Maxell seems to warm up the phone. I think the plate gets hot and warms up the phone.

Any homebrew devs out there thinking about having a go with WP8, you can use the emulator for free, but to connect to a real phone is $99 a year from M$ or more preferably Nokia.

The emulators pretty impressive though.

Got mine this morning, enjoying it so far, it does worry me that its crashed a couple of times though, hopefully stability will be improved with future WP8 updates or something, on the whole good phone, though the fact it can't do push with yahoo accounts is a tad annoying, loving the new interface though and white text on black is teh sex.

You should get it exchanged, it shouldn't be crashing.

When I say crashed I had an odd issue where it locked up while I was trying to do the config thing you get when you first turn it on, I had to use my laptop to Google how to reset the phone lol. After that its been okay however it failed to install an app over wifi then wouldn't let me uninstall it (as it wasnt installed) but I couldn't figure out how to get the failed install off the apps list/phone so I reset it again (trying to install again was pointless). Now its updated a load of apps but one failed and is doing the same thing (Nokia Maps) giving an error 8103010d.

More good news for the Lumia 920

Finnish retailer DNA Store’s Managing Director Sami Aavikko have told a local magazine in an interview that the demand for Nokia Lumia 920 in its stores were highest for any Nokia model released in the past 10 years. He also revealed that they are selling out of the devices as they receive.

“All of what comes in, I sell immediately,” DNA Trading Ltd Managing Director Sami Aavikko said, noting that they have had to introduce booking list at stores due to demand.

The issue is not just due to short supply, with Sami saying quantities delivered were similar as for the iPhone 5, but that shortages was due to true demand.

On this occasion the experience is not just a Finnish phenomena, with Nokia having great trouble supplying Nokia Lumia 920 and Nokia Lumia 820 models around the world as it has been sold out in many stores across countries like Germany.

It was also reported that Nokia received about 2.5 million units of order for Lumia 920 around the world.

Nokia merely commented that they were pleased with the good reception from Lumia phones, and were trying to get phones to stores as fast as possible.

Maybe, maybe not. My first phone froze several times before I exchanged it. My second one, although better, has frozen once.

Reading around wpcentral and the Nokia forums, this is a common issue. Many are blaming the beta of skype, but I and many others have never installed it. It certainly looks like a WP8 or firmware issue, so an exchange might not make any difference at all.
