BenQ XL2411T 24-Inch Full HD Gaming Monitor

It isn't officially supported, no. The XL2411T on the other hand runs at 144Hz by default.

arent the 2411t n 2420t identical? other than the stands + profile switch thiing on 2420t?

They've certainly tweaked things to supposedly optimise response time (now a 1ms spec) and reduce input lag. Suspect updated panel revision too and performance will vary I'm sure.

Can you use 3D Vision through the display Port or HDMI? My Dual Link DVI is taken up with a Hazro, i'd ideally like both connected at the same time.

According to the BenQ site compared to the 2420 it has...

no S switch
no dust cover
no Game Mode Loader
no usb hub
no Display Port
only 1 HDMI connector

I'm currently reviewing this model. No questions will be answered here though until I've had a good test of it. Last time I ended up posting some impressions but changed my mind as I used it a bit more. Sorry for being human ;).

how long until review is done?

Do you prefer glossy or matte? They are both excellent monitors but the Samsung has a more vibrant and lively image at the expense of reflections on-screen. The XL2411T also supports 144Hz and has a very slight edge in 'fluid feeling' as its input lag is a little lower. The Samsung has better-tuned grey to grey acceleration and doesn't suffer from any noticeable overdrive artifacts, however.

I hope to have my XL2411T review published later this week which will allow you to compare it properly to Samsung's monitors. I've reviewed the S27A750D and S27A950D previously and they are essentially similar to the S23A700D performance-wise.

Yes that's the question, as PCM2 said do you like matte or glossy screens? I've always used a matte monitor, and wary of the reflections on the Samsung which I ended up buying. I was so pleased that only after few days I realised I actually preferred the glossy screen to my old matte one. I cant speak for other glossy monitors but the surface of the SA700D exceeded expectations :p. I would say think about where the monitor would be placed, ie would it reflect a tv screen or bright window? Display wise, the blacks and colours rich and vibrant. And to cap it all 120hz!

Been comparing the xl2411t and the xl2420t myself as I want to purchase one for Christmas!

Although the more expensive xl2420t does look more aesthetically pleasing, having 144Hz refresh rate and a response time of 1ms on the xl2411t does clinch it for me.

Has there been any reviews of the newer model as of yet?

Also what is the maximum Hz that the dual link DVI-D support?

Waiting on the review of this monitor, there seems to be nothing on the Internet about it. Not bothered about having the S-switch, just want a good 120hz monitor. Hopefully your review will be up soon. Sick lizard what would you say about the monitor?

I don't know how much longer I can wait before I take the plunge and go for it!

The only pro of the 20t to me is it looks a lot nicer, spec wise im with the 11t
