it has slightly lower recoil, 40 as opposed to 35 maximum damage with a possibly better range on that max damage and the reload is half a second + quicker.
I always throw them on the ground as i'm running so they're behind me. This game has a habit of spawning people behind you so having a Bouncing Betty there saves on a few deaths.
Use either Engineer or Flak Jacket.
Engineer you can see them through walls etc. Combine with the Black Hat PDA and you can hack them. Flak Jacket will save you from being killed by them.
The constant UAV's mean you are pretty much a red dot all the time until you Unlock Ghost.

If you crouch the explosion won't kill you, if you go prone it won't do any damage at all.

Engineer and EMP grenades are an easy cure for Bettys, claymores, shockers, guardians and sentry guns plus an easy way to bump up your scorestreaks.
I usually take the anti air launcher too as so few people do at moment and again its easy points for your scorestreaks.

As other's said use engineer perk, with this perk you can see them in glowing red and it also delay the trigger slightly, that means you can run straight over them and by the time they explode you are well clear from it.
The lag comp in this game is beyond laughable, I've never known a game like it for me personally. Give me host and I might as well just throw my gun away and jump in front of every bullet.
They really need to get it sorted because at the moment this is easily the worst CoD since WaW.

Agree, some games it feels like you are 1 second behind compare to every body else.
Yep. I had a few games last night and I just cannot win a one on one. Insta death every time. I hardly get a chance to react yet on the killcam they've seen me for a few secs before they fire there gun.
I'm also really getting fed up with the one burst kill from the stupid machine pistol and that the guns have no recoil when hip firing!
Well i played a few times last night and wasn't last place for a change. Averaged around 7 kills a round with similar deaths on TDM. New gun has made a big difference plus checking the mini map occasionally helps a bit too. Wish it was a little bit bigger though. At what point can i have more than 10 items on my loadout? Think i'm level 7 at the mo.
So much for the matchmaking being ping/whatever based and not location based.
Seems to have made it worse. Really thinking of getting a 0.5Mbps connection just for CoD. 100Mbps is simply too penalised in this game.
I can't say I'm having the same amount of connection issues you guys are having, Yes there are bad games every now and then but for the most its been fine.
I have FTTC 80/20 connection I would say I get host 20% of the games I play. I'm only first prestige though.

Are you on Virgin or BT Infinity? From what i've read elsewhere people that are on Virgin have serious problems with this game.
I've not had any real problems either. A few dodgy games but that's it.
I even got picked as host yesterday and didn't have any problems.
They REALLY need to sort out the spawn system in this game. It's my one major problem. Yesterday I spawned and got killed by a Lightning Strike. I then spawned again right in somebody's sights and died again
