OCUK - Do you have an ETA for the OEM card??

Should hopefully be with us today! - So if you have ordered, it is likely to be dispatched today for tomorrow, if not then tomorrow for Wednesday! The website will update as soon as they arrive! :)

Patience my friend ;) Will probably be delivered tomorrow as I think they arrived after their usual dispatch time.

Just got my OEM card and tbh not overly happy as it doesn't even have the red shielding, may have to look at returning.

Wasnt expecting the Mic but was hopeful as the description page did have it at the time of ordering.
The image still showing the Red cover so expected that to be included not as an extra only on the retail.

Wait...you're saying the OEM version is just the card bare without the red cover? If that is the case, I may have to do the same and order the retail version. The red cover was one of the reasons I bought the retail version for my gaming PC.

I would also have not expected the mic to be included, but with no red cover? Not acceptable really.

Can OcUK actually confirm if this is the case with the OEM cards?

Thats correct it's just the bare card no EMI shield or mic included.

Then OCUK have a lot to answer with an incorrect image (that doesn't bother me) and incorrect description (brought OEM one for the mic)...

EDIT: Wasn't at home to get mine today (left calling card) but getting DPD to leave item in a safe place tomorrow, so can confirm tomorrow afternoon

EDIT2: Just noticed the OEM description has now been updated, removing any reference to the included mic, will be taking this up in ocuk's support forum area once I have mine tomorrow, however would like a public response from OCUK here to confirm or deny these reports...

You should have checked on Creatives site. http://support.creative.com/kb/ShowArticle.aspx?sid=107797
Applicable To: Sound Blaster Z SB1500, Sound Blaster Recon3D PCIe, Sound Blaster Recon3D Fatal1ty Professional, Sound Blaster Recon3D Fatal1ty Champion, Sound Blaster Recon3D Professional Audio
SB1500 = retail, SB1502 = OEM (bulk)

However, the lack of the red EMI shield was completely unacceptable so I had to return it. There was no excuse at all.

Well that clears that one up. But as mentioned, the picture should highlight the fact there is no red EMI shield. When mine arrives, it's going straight back. And I will get the retail version.

No, overclockers should get their details right before putting a product up for sale. I bought an item with a microphone, I await my delivery of it tomorrow.

yeah, this is right. I would be angry if I purchased the card based on the overclockers description.

anyone replaced the x-fi with one?? Worth the outlay over the x-fi??

I replaced my X-Fi with one. So much more clarity and even more features in the software that comes with it. Just make sure you get the retail version and not the OEM ;)

Thank you CK61938 and it will look awesome on my rog board just as Ace modder hinted :D

The lack of a "Whoops! Sorry about the mistake!" post from an OcUK rep surprises me. Early impressions of the card are good, but the silence from OcUK sticks in my craw slightly.
