At long last! A sound card to compete with the MIGHTY D2X??

Any coming out with black shroud? The red will look minging in my system.

The ZxR (the high-end card which is epically pricey) has a black shroud with red markings on it. Have a look on the Creative site. It's not yet released and no idea when it will be.

Wait...you're saying the OEM version is just the card bare without the red cover? If that is the case, I may have to do the same and order the retail version. The red cover was one of the reasons I bought the retail version for my gaming PC.

I would also have not expected the mic to be included, but with no red cover? Not acceptable really.

Can OcUK actually confirm if this is the case with the OEM cards?

Hello, I have got on to Creative about this as the info they have provided to em by my supplier is incorrect. The Specs and images have now been updated.

Then OCUK have a lot to answer with an incorrect image (that doesn't bother me) and incorrect description (brought OEM one for the mic)...

EDIT: Wasn't at home to get mine today (left calling card) but getting DPD to leave item in a safe place tomorrow, so can confirm tomorrow afternoon

EDIT2: Just noticed the OEM description has now been updated, removing any reference to the included mic, will be taking this up in ocuk's support forum area once I have mine tomorrow, however would like a public response from OCUK here to confirm or deny these reports...

As I have said above, all has now been updated. I can only apologise for this as none of us at OcUK were even aware of this issue until the complaints were highlighted. As you may have noticed, all of our competition have also been stung by this incorrect info and product images. In time I should imagine most if not all will also update their inmages and descriptions too.

No, overclockers should get their details right before putting a product up for sale. I bought an item with a microphone, I await my delivery of it tomorrow.

Hello, as has been said above. The info provided by creative was wrong. Their is nothing we can do about that other than change it as we have and allow no questions asked return of the product. I am speaking with creative now to see what they have to say about the matter.

As for stating that you have bought an item with a microphone and await your delivery tomorrow. Can I ask why the attitude? Its clear there has been a mistake not only with OcUK but with everyone else. I appreciate your upset but that does not change what may have been shipped to you as mistakes are occasionally made. If I could order product A and then find out its product B and then expect it to miraculously turn into product A then i would be buying every losing lottery ticket out there with the assumption this will become a winning ticket. This simply doesn't happen as much as you or I would like it to.

The lack of a "Whoops! Sorry about the mistake!" post from an OcUK rep surprises me. Early impressions of the card are good, but the silence from OcUK sticks in my craw slightly.

Better late than never. It was however only brought to my attention via email this morning that there was complaints etc on the forums hence the late reply. I could have waiting until Monday but true to our commitment to ensure we have happy customers I am sat at my desk at work on a sunday when I could be spending it in my pants infront of the TV :p

Moving on... Can anyone who has received an OEM card based on an incorrect description please drop a message into the customer service section where a member of the team will gladly help resolve the problem.

The product description was however changed on the 28th of November so any orders after this point were sold true to description which means if its wrong then unfortunately it is down to user error on the purchase. Fear not though as we offer a 14 day money back guarantee so you can return it issue free for full credit refund. :)

PS.. Xmas smilies are back
