Andrew Flintoff v Richard Dawson (Boxing)

for a debut with no amateur background he's doing ok. is funny how many people are willing to have a pop at him yet wouldnt dare do what he's doing.

No ones knocking the lads heart. But he's been training for this for what? 6-8 months? He can't throw a right hand. His jab is OK, but his right hand is appalling.

It makes me think though.. Has this Dawson bloke been paid off? He can't be this bad, surely?

Flintoff is this bad so surely anyone else can be, 2 rounds, lol. Average English boxing crowd, cheer for the english guy regardless of actually ability/quality of fighting. The whole thing is a farce, they're reacting like he just won a title, not school girl faught his way through a 2 round farce against a dead weight... and still looked bad.

The result is the right one however, you can't deny it. Won 3 rounds, lost one 10-8. Just over worked the guy.

he trained for 4 months apparently, but dont forget he'l pumped up to buggery with that atmosphere. and will be just throwing leather while trying to not pee his pants with excitement.

his biggest problem was trying to go all out all the time, if he'd have stepped back and jabbed and thrown a big right in he would have probably had him down.

but for a debut it wasnt that bad, seen worse ppv fights though.

Hasn't Dawson had an Amateur career as well though?

I don't know/like boxing - I watched it for Freddy but I have to say he looks a fair way short. Still can't knock the heart and courage he showed. GJ!

His jab was good and he worked behind it well, but he looks like he can't throw a right.

He shouldn't fight again, but if he fights again he'll need to keep behind his jab and throw a proper right.
