intel 520 120gb came in not original box?

Hi, Iv bought the ssd about 2 weeks ago when it was 79.99 it said retail but it came in a carboard box that wasnt original.
Is that why the price was so low?

All my intel SSDs came in cardboard boxes and I've had 5 up to and including the 330.

Will sata III cable make a bigger diference over sata II cable?
My read speeds are around 460-470 but write 170-180

The cable type won't make any difference unless one of them is of really poor quality.

180 write isnt normal or is it?

That's a Sandforce based drive isn't it? If it is check which benchmarks those speed claims are based on as it can make a massive difference (and they always quote the most optimistic figures).

Both mine came in cardboard and together in RAID0 are over 1000mb/sec on read and write so somethings not quite right.

My writes speeds are low because of sata II cable...
Not too bothered about it as I only need write speeds high 480mb/s satisfies me
