the truman show

The most amazing thing about the film was the way that no-one called it Science Fiction, even though it clearly is.

Can only echo what everybody else is saying - fantastic film. Haven't watched it in far too long. The soundtrack is also excellent.

Edit //Puts Eternal Sunshine on must watch list.// Had never heard of it before this thread.

You've not seen it? It's amazing. It's an absolutely beautiful film, though it is a bit mental and you kinda have to pay attention to keep track of what's going on. Carrey and Winslet are both brilliant, and the supporting cast is great as well - Mark Ruffalo, Kirsten Dunst, Tom Wilkinson, Elijah Wood. The music is great as well - it's what got me into ELO. It's easily one of the best films I've ever seen. 8.4/10 on imdb and richly deserved.

Loved it.

Clever film, excellently produced with great performances from both Carrey and Harris. The end always gets me. Carrey delivers it perfectly.

This and, Eternal Sunshine are possibly the only Jim Carey films I can watch for more than sixty seconds without reaching for a deadly weapon.

Fine film, probably in my top 10.

I really like this film (especially the ending). Other highlights are the soundtrack and most notibly Father Kolbe's preaching & Opening (from Mishima).

Father Kolbe's preaching.

Amazing piece of music. When it's playing as Kristof is speaking to Truman is a moment of cinema masterpiece.

Damn this thread, it's cost me money. I have just ordered it from the rainforest. Cant argue at £6.75 for the blu.
