Ok can someone help me...

If I bought two or four of these for a future system, can I use them in dual channel mode (if used on ivybridge motherboard). I won't be overclocking if at all. I would love the extra memory and would I be able to play latest demanding games and have office and other apps running at same time?

Thanks

Hi there

Yes they will work in single, dual, triple or quad channel no problem. :)

Why the hell do I need 16GB memory?

I have no idea, but just bought two anyway. £40 for 16GB. I remember upgrading a 486 from 4MB to 16MB and it cost a small fortune.

How far we have come.

I have four 4Gb GSkill 1333 DIMMS at the moment - would I be able to replace two of these with two of the above sticks ?

Oh, and thanks for the Haribo at the Gadget Show !

Do you mean replacing two of the four sticks with the Kingston RAM, so you'd have two sticks of GSkill and two of Kingston?
