Hitman Absolution Pre-Order.

I on the other hand are still playing it, and still enjoying it!

Just played the courtroom mission and I loved how many rooms there were to explore and even after a few minutes could see a few ways to complete the mission. Not to mention the amusing conversations you can listen in to.

Also contained a very funny spin-off 'plot' from the sniper challenge pre-order bonus:
The tin foil guy who has a weird obsession with garden gnomes :D

Yes, I posted about this. Have only really messed about with the benchmark and had a play through the tutorial mission, but I don't believe this game is performing all that well. Everything keeps at a fairly steady 60, then I get to the tennis court and look around and it dives into the 40's.

Glad I wasn't the only one, I checked and my gpu usage seems to tank from 100% to 72% in that area which is the cause as it's a solid 60fps up until that point.

Will hold off playing until the engine issues are sorted. Got AC iii and FC3 to keep me busy until then.

Well I've played this for around six hours now and I'm finding it very dull. Basically every mission is a get to the exit exercise and the game encourages you to just sneak past everyone with the scoring system that's in place. The scoring system has sort of forced me to replay sections over and over to as to not incur any "penalties." This is the first Hitman game I've played so I don't know what I'm missing from previous titles, but I have to say that some of the criticisms PC Gamer levelled at the game in their review I do agree with to a point. I'm just glad I picked it up for £15 from the MM.

I've just took out the target in the nightclub, anyone know how far into the game I am? That might help me decide if I will finish it or not, or if someone can tell me if its worth my time playing on?

Have a go at Hitman Blood Money. That's a solid game and still doesn't look bad.

Your not really mega far into it, I'm quite afew levels ahead of you and it seems to go on forever lol

I want to finish it but I'm starting to get slack, some levels just don't seems to be great on all out stealth, I'm starting to use the guns more and just destroy everyone in my path.

Plus, if you hide in a bin for afew moments everyone seems to forgot and just go back to normal, if 5+ people have been killed your not just going to shrug it off.

Once I've completed this I'll move onto far cry, don't want to be starting that when Hitman is only half done.

How far am I? I've just done the courthouse and prison..

Took me about 15 hours to complete. However I usually replay missions until I get the silent assassin rank.

Demons - I'd say you have about 5 full missions left at least. Off the top of my head.

I find the controls are overly complicated as well.

E to enter an air conditioning duct, SPACE to exit.

When in cover press Q to attack, then after you've subdued you need to press SPACE to exit being against the wall in order to be able to press B to pick up body (when F is pick up objects) then press E to dump body.

Best played with an Xbox controller ;)

I really like it, the reviews from pc gamer nearly put me off too, I like that I can pick up and play a mission then go back another time and play another, Im not having to sink hours and hours at a time, and I can see actual replay value in the missions too.

Id say overall it was an 8.5/10 for me.

Great voice acting
Gripping storyline
Believable characters
Well thought out missions
Great map layouts

Yeah there is a lot of replay value, there are several ways to finish a mission and not to mention the 30-40 odd challenges you can get per mission too.

Basically every mission is a get to the exit exercise

I believe all of the missions in Blood Money also ended with 'get to the exit'. It wouldn't be much fun if the mission just ended as soon as you killed your target..
