doomsday prepper.

Interesting viewpoint^ I agree with some of that though! Not so sure about the loving standards though :p

You could argue loving standards would go down as no condoms or alternatives so you'd have to use the last resort plan B :P

on that point, vaccines won't be available anymore and our bodies aren't as naturally resistant to disease, and factor in worse sanitation etc...

ask yourself what would happen if for whatever reason your local store didn't get its normal deliveries. Most stores are run with a 'Just in time' principle and without constant deliveries the shelfs would be empty within 3 days less if there was panic buying going on.

What about if your electric was cut off for a prolonged time due to storm\bad weather\fault your heating probably wouldn't work if you on gas\oil\air\ground sourced, refrigeration would fail and no light other than candles and flashlight.

There are lots of really simple things that can go wrong from time to time and it really is everyones duty to have some kind or simple samples and plan to cope with this. I don't mean 12 months supplies and bunkers in the garden but basic stuff and I'm pretty sure most people are woefully under equipped.

Going from living in the UK where the only time the power went out was some numpty from cable and wireless drilling through the line, or the miner strikes, to living over here where we lose power at least 3 times a year and sometimes for a week. It really doesnt take long for the supermarkets to run out of everyday items and if the petrol stations can't pump their petrol or run out, it get crazy.

I learnt after the ice storm of 2009, i've now got LED lanterns, spare batteries, enough canned food, and water to last about 2 weeks.

I dont need to prepare for anything.

When it comes to my life vs someone elses and they have what I need, they will die and I will get what I require.

Survival of the fittest at any cost in my book.

I saw part of one of these shows.

Some 'murican woman was holding a get together for her family and as part of the day, they had a practice run where they had to dress up in their surgical gowns, facemasks and hairnets etc.

Her daughter (I think it was) was late to the party and whilst the rest of the family sat down to a large meal, this woman put up plastic sheeting across the living room and basically told her daughter that she had to stay in quarantine and watch as they all ate! :D

It was amazing!

We all know that this world is going to end one day. Probably through human interference of some kind or another be it through war or environmental. For me, my belief in god is all i need. Nothing else matters in the grand scheme of things (Waits for incoming!)
