Razer Deathadder disconnecting

Hey all, I have a weird issue going on with my Razer Deathadder mouse.
If you don't know already the mouse has a light which pulses every couple of seconds or so. Instead of mine pulsing (so to speak) it flickers, which means while using the mouse it randomly disconnects. If you move the mouse around quickly, the pointer will stick. Also, sometimes it will not register that you have clicked or it'll think you've clicked and held. I have just got a replacement today and my new mouse is doing the exact same. As this mouse is doing the same, I assume it's something on the PC side. I've tried re-installing drivers and such but with no luck.

My PC specs are as follows:
I7 2600K 3.4GHz
8GB Corsair DDR3
ATI Radeon 6970 2GB
Corsair 750 TX V2

Any help would be great, I'm stuck for ideas! - Laura
 
you tried plugging it into yor front usb ports? see if its ports on mboard causing this. my dad had issue with his keyboard typing by itself.

turns out it was just certain usb ports on his mboard which were buggered

I have indeed, no such luck with changing it! :confused:
 
when you re-installed driver did you just put it over the top?

hit start button > right click computer > click manage

on left hand side go to device manager

expand mice and other pointing devices

in here you should see the name of your mouse? right click it and go to properties

go to driver tab

click uninstall

restart pc, on restart hopefully windows will re-install the driver if not slam disk in and install.

see if it works now.

You beat me to it!!

Can you do firmware upgrades or software upgrade on these?
 
also i just assumed you were installing driver from disk?

have you checked manufacturers webby for later drivers? if it is the latest driver you installed from manufacturers website and it still causes issues. repeat the step above but then download and try an older driver.

I will try an older version and see how it goes, thanks for you help :)
 
Does the event viewer show anything relating to the mouse or your BSOD?

Did the BSOD stay long enough to get the error code?
 
well in that case

go to c:\windows\minidump

in this folder will be som .dmp files find the one related to the date the BSOD happened.

atatch it into this thread. ill examine it for you. should pinpoint whats wrong.


on my lunch in 10 mins so wont get a chance till this afternoon :)

Okay brilliant thanks, silly question but as I can't open them as I don't have the right program.. what's the best way to attach one?

Ah really? I might just have to do that! I'm such a noob but really enjoy it. I know I could really get into it if I knew what was really going on haha!

ignore username :D long story how i aquired it , also get that .dmp file to me and ill see what it shows up as? i know someone in other thread said do wipe of windows. be best to examine .dmp file first to see if thats really needed

swear i've spelt aquired wrong dosent look right hmmm.
