Razer Deathadder disconnecting

Ok to summarise then.

  • Mouse works in other PCs
  • Other Mice and USB devices work in your PC
  • You have tried all USB ports
  • Checked for driver errors
  • reinstalled drivers

That only leaves motherboard/mouse compatibility problems (unless I am missing something?)

Have you tried Googling your motherboard model with Razer DeathAdder? To see if other people are having similar problems.

I believe I have finally found the problem.. and it's a really damn stupid one. This is for the mouse, not the BSOD. I was searching on my phone while I waited for the PC to carry on with the scans. Apparently the mouse can mess up if you remove the mouse and plug it back in without rebooting? Weird. Anyway the fix was to delete the process "razerhid.exe" and sure enough it seems to be working fine again! So you're telling me after about 3 months of this.. that was it?!?! That means I'll be sending my new one back tomorrow! Jeez!

As far as the BSOD goes, not sure what's going on there!

wasnt it the razer stuff causing the BSOD? chances are that faulty process had something to do with it and should go away with the mice problems. if it dosent post the .dmp file up next time it blue screens and ill take a good look into it

I'm not too sure. After reading online people in a similar position think it may possibly be a ram issue after looking at their .dmp files, not sure about that. I'll run some games and see if it will happen again. The annoying thing is, I bought pre-built and if there's ever a problem, it's £30 to send the PC back to them before they even fix it :( Ah well, thanks for the help guys! I'll report back if the problem persists!

why would you need to sys restore?

Because I was getting a Java certificate error message with every single webpage after following those steps.

(Yes I did try the Microsoft hotfix and yes I also tried reinstalling Java.)

OK now though.

(My own fault for fixing something that wasn't broke!)
