add me if you like user

clitorian

ignore username :D long story how i aquired it , also get that .dmp file to me and ill see what it shows up as? i know someone in other thread said do wipe of windows. be best to examine .dmp file first to see if thats really needed

swear i've spelt aquired wrong dosent look right hmmm.

Spelling looks right to me!

Also, depending on the error, you it may just be a removal or a driver or a windows repair if the cd/dvd is available.

Thanks so much all of you for helping :) I'm just installing the program to view the files (which is taking a nice long time haha)

That is a brilliant username xD I'll add you, beware I am a noob :P

Also, yes reinstalling Windows is not a problem it's just a pain! I'm happy to do it as a last resort :P

Is it possible to simply upload the file instead? Having some trouble with the program refusing to read the file haha!

Try an application called whocrashed it will analyse the crash dump and put it in to a much more readable format, you can down load a free home version of it.

I think it might be something wrong with your USB ports. Do you have a strong enough PSU or is it just a dodgy mouse.

do as i said previously to uninstall the driver

plug in the standard mouse you have

then open an elevated cmd prompt (in search box type cmd then right click executable and run as administrator)

type

sfc /scannow

restart, install drivers. plug in mouse

can also run a chkdsk c: /f /r

in cmd prompt aswell for good measure. amount of things these commands together fixes is unreal

I like it!!!

Will remember that :D

it may not be driver at fault, may be some bad sys files it is clashing with. so sfc scannow will fix the sys files. and chkdsk is just magic :D

I've done it all bar the final check which is really taking its time! No bad files have been found so far, all going smoothly :)

I dont care what the fix is, the problem is that synapse rubbish!

edit* : Just got a Deathadder myself two days ago, i hope i dont have any disconnection issues :(

Have you tried the faulty mouse in another PC with the default Windows plug and play drivers?

I suspect a loose wire either in the mouse or the USB plug.

did scans finish ok? hows it going?

This last one has been running a couple of hours, 492K files checked out of 661K haha! Getting there slowly but surely! I did try the mouse in another computer, sure enough it worked fine. I can't do anything currently as this check is on boot so I have no access to anything until its done :o
