So, how many of you are atheists but celebrate christmas........

I like how you still disregarded the second half of my post because you can't muster the brain power to come back with a logical retort.

What my girlfriend does with her family is no business of yours, or mine to post on an internet forum, but you're wrong. Nice try.

I'd give up if I were you, you're only making yourself look stupid.

Sure i am :D You also didnt confirm your ethnicity to me? so as i said i could be wrong.

Doesn't matter, regardless. She's not a Christian, and she still celebrates it. Point is still valid.

If I went to China, I'd celebrate the Chinese new year celebration, I don't have to be Chinese, it's integrating yourself in part of the culture. Christmas is part of our culture, it's not a religious holiday to everyone, and you don't have to be religious to celebrate it.

I didnt say you had to be? fail. I said its pretty hypocritical to celebrate the birth of christ (which is what it is, regardless of whatever spin you want to put on it) if your an atheist.

Presumably because he can read, and has interpreted your bilge and come to the correct resposnse?

Not really.

If hes white/black and hes got a wife whos a "muslim" its 95% Guaranteed that her parents are not speaking to her. Trust me its what happens in asian communities. But you of course would know better than me

But being an atheist has nothing to do with Jesus Christ, its the non belief in God. Who's to say Jesus didn't exist?

No, its not my religion.

My point was that it has become a cultural celebration day, even though the roots were religious, it is not anymore especially taking into the account that jesus was not even born in the winter .

As was posted before by others, if I was in China I'd celebrate Chinese new year, it's festive time, cultural celebration, happiness.

In fact I did try to "celebrate" Christmas but it wasn't about christ, none of my friends are religious yet we still made an effort to cook Turkey, invite friends over, have crackers.

It's not solely a celebration of that any more, it used to be, but now it's part of our culture.

Fail.

I'm white, and you're still wrong, which makes it even more funny.

Double fail.

As far as I recall he said it's his girlfriend not wife, but who are you to say shes not a Muslim, without even knowing her? I suspect you are Muslim yourself, hence why you have avoided responding to any of my posts. You are an embarrassment, you really are.

But Christianity recognises jesus as the son of god, and Christmas is celebrating the birth of christ, so if your not religious and you dont believe in Christianity, Islam, Judaism etc etc then you dont believe in Jesus because he is affiliated with religion. :)

It's possible to believe in a person called Jesus Christ who lived many years ago, without believing he was the son of God, or without believing he was a prophet of God.

Oh sorry I didn't realize you had all Asian communities on speed dial so you can check in on everyone regarding their offspring and what their speaking terms are.

My bad, I shall leave the almighty all knowing mrjagga to his quest to educate humanity.

Thanks, now leave me be. :D

but seriously you have to be living in a cave if you think most asian families let their daughter get married to white/black men rofl.
