AMD Catalyst 12.11 Official BETA 11 Plus CAP2 12.11

Overclocking the Memory increases the performance by at least as much as the overclocking the GPU core. see here...

Thanks for that however,

I have just tried my cards at stock (1000/1375) then at 1100/1525 and i am seeing absolutely zero gain in framerate in BF3 multiplayer. Plus my gpu usage is still not at a constant 90+ % it's all over the place.

What CPU do you have?

Funny enough i've tried it at 3.6 and had lower frames. tried it at 4.2 and had higher.

Seems like my cpu is bottlenecking the cards?.

Edit. not much gain at all 1-2 FPS at best going from 3.6-4.2.

Those are classic symptoms of a CPU bottleneck.

There are a couple of others who have cited a sudden jump in CPU usage since the last BF3 patch, i think mine has gone up aswell.

There seems to be something in the last patch that is putting a heavier work load on the CPU.

The best thing about these drivers is it finally fixes the complete system lock-up I've been having with Shogun 2. Seeing as the Total War series are probably my favourite games its a big plus :).

so annoying getting 60-70 FPS now on grand bazaar with 55% CPU usage WTTTTF IS GOINGGGGGGGG ONNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There is a NVIDIA Focus Group Member running around claiming that the AMD Catalyst 12.11 gains are at the expense of smoothness and that's for Single GPU as well.

really? i was very disappointed when i got my 7970 and couldnt play s2tw. will give these a bash.

Hows everyone finding these for FC3?

Just had a quick run with CF 7970's and it was a stutter fest :(

Also Afterburner OSD now does absolutely nothing

It does indeed, its actually unplayable as it is, tried playing with the in-game settings, even everything dropped down it stutters like mad, almost like its skipping frames.

Yep I've tried it on the lowest settings and it still skips frames. I think I had the same problem on the last drivers too.

If it is a small consilation, I get the same with SLI 680's. With settings turned down, it is ok but still suffering with micro stutter and the very occasional 1 second freeze. Not a game breaker but not good either.

Maybe it is the actual game? My frames are between 70 - 90 and I shouldn't be seeing this stutter.
