I used to play on Wireplay, Barrysworld, Jolt, UKCCL etc etc.. :D

Still think it's the best online FPS game ever :P but maybe just because of the community and how online gaming was back then :)

So many cool things about quake2, strafe jumping for acceleration, accelerated double jumps on boxes, dropping weapons and ammo for team mates using binds :)

So many memories, dueling vs people until 3AM :eek:
 
god, wireplay, jolt, barrysworld! those where the days!
using the BT dial up number so wireplay was faster!
 
we had quake on our college server for about 12 weeks. It got removed because of the sheer noise we would make when fragging people. those were the days
 
First real online game for me, used to play till dawn, literally daylight when I'd crawl in bed, close my eyes and the game would still be going on in my eyes. Loved the Railgun. Quad shotgun and the grunting jumps.. Feeling really old. Might just jump in the loft and dig out my original Box.
