Are you proud of what you do?

Retained Firefighter, window cleaner and Computer repair company. I like the fact that one minute I'm up a ladder cleaning a window and the next driving a fire engine to an incident, its great fun and very rewarding.
yes I'm fairly proud of that.

That's a nice combo, I'll explore these options I think :)

I ran my own financial recruitment and headhunting firm up until a couple of weeks ago - worst of both worlds (in the public's eye) taking in recruitment and banking.

I wasn't really ever proud of what I did, but the majority of my placements (80%+) were finding jobs for people out of work, or those that wanted to move to London to be with family/girlfriends/friends/etc. so this makes up for it I suppose.

However, I am proud of creating and building a financially successful business in the middle of an awful market, and employing and training others. Also, I do like my role of job consultant to all my friends and family, and regularly re-write CVs and cover letters, as well as advising them on recruitment processes (i.e. when best to ask for a higher salary, how to create competition and also finding jobs/adverts for them).

Want to do something different now so taking a few months off to have a think about it :)

I am not proud of what I do. It's not a bad job, it's just not a "wow" or "cool" job. I am, however, proud that I do my job well.

Currently studying software development to become a surgeon though.

I am proud of what I do, not a lot of people can say they are the only person in the UK that does a specific job. I have to be VERY careful when I talk about my job though - it's no secret, I work for Haribo, UK, but any further information, it's like blooming MI5 here.

And no, it's nothing like Willy Wonka's factory, but I don't tell everyone that, it's like telling them Santa is not real.

If I say I work in the media, I sometimes get disapproving looks. If I say I make TV programs though its all good! Very proud to make Grandma's daytime TV a little more bearable :p

I sell pallet wrap...suprisingly rewarding!

Started at the company 4 years ago, 3 sales managers now left and I am now the only one in sales...2 weeks ago smashed the company weekly sales record so pretty pleased about that! (company been going 23 years).

I file orders for pallet wrap!

When I used to work as a general office admin bod, I used to shy away from this question when meeting new people for the first time, and was rather embarrassed to admit what I do.

These days I guess I am proud of what I do (trainee engineering officer working on cargo ships for a Norwegian shipping line), although I do spend inordinate amounts of time trying to explain to people that I'm not in the Royal Navy or any armed forces. It's usually like banging my head against a brick wall sadly.

I'm happy with work so far, but there's still room for improvement. I taught myself to write from absolute scratch a few years ago and now have two ebooks under my belt and a couple of hundred things published here and there.

I just need a bestseller!

I regulate adult health and social care, very proud of what I do.

Its extremely rewarding.

However I find it much like being a policeman, damned if you do, damned if you don't.

Write a book about GD, it'll be never ending!
