Are you proud of what you do?

I'm in IT support which doesn't rank highly in the 'things to be proud of' stakes, but I work for a charity so I guess that earns me a few bonus points.

I'm an accountant and I'm proud of my achievements in the workplace, not so much what I do even though it's integral.

I'm not really proud of my job really, I work in the energy sector doing anything from the analysis of energy usage trends, HH data analytics for commercial customers & propensity score matching for our business/domestic customer base along with trading analytics in between.

Mostly done using a variety of statistical modelling techniques, SQL, VBA & SPSS.

It's pretty dry - not to mention if I had my way (we renationalised the energy sector) I'd be out of a job.

Proud in the fact I have been able to help and watch my fathers company grow.
And I love the industry.

And it'll be mine soon due to old mans retirement.
:D

I'm an engineer in the oil industry and am pretty proud of what I do - it's also generally fairly interesting. Most friends and family are generally interested in how upstream oil & gas works, the engineering side, offshore etc....I've yet to have an eco-hippy berate me for my choice of career but I guess there's a first time for everything :).

Proud?...No,And without sounding a compete bighead....i know im capable of much more but its knowing where to start.

But a jobs a job at the end of the day,Just grateful i have one.

simple answer, nope i don't have a job and have never had job satisfaction either

Feeling depressed now cheers

Then my little lady just smiled at me and made me feel much better

I sell pallet wrap...suprisingly rewarding!

Started at the company 4 years ago, 3 sales managers now left and I am now the only one in sales...2 weeks ago smashed the company weekly sales record so pretty pleased about that! (company been going 23 years).

Who do you work for dude?

I'm looking at getting some decent pricing for 17 micron, proper edging though and you need to be National ;)

I'm not especially proud of what I do. I get paid for doing it and that's that.

The general public seem very grateful for people in my line of work though. I didn't realise quite how much until I worked the Olympics.
