Dane, on what network was your phone before you unlocked it? In other words, what code did you order?

Mine is on T-Mobile and when trying to order, I get a warning about Orange and T-Mobile started using a merged network lock for which their codes won't work. Unfortunately, I cannot check if my phone uses this new lock.

Edit: This is the warning I get when checking out
!!! WARNING FOR NOKIA T-MOBILE OR ORANGE UK NETWORKS - UNLOCK CODES !!!

Failing to read this warning could result in none working codes, and no refund will be given !!

T-Mobile and Orange UK have merged recently.

They have started locking newer NOKIA handsets to a new MERGED network MNC+MCC

Orange UK uses MNC+MCC = 2343300000000000 (this is ok to order a orange uk code for)
T-Mobile UK uses MNC+MCC = 2343000000000000 (this is ok to order a t-mobile code for)
NEW T-Mobile / Orange Merge Lock uses MNC+MCC = 2343300190233141 (NOT SUPPORTED DO NOT ORDER)

There's more on how to check but I don't have the means to follow either of their methods. Which ones of these are the P4U Lumias locked on?

Which network did you order the code for? EE, T-mobile or Orange? Thats the bit that confuses me...

Sorry guys forgot to say, i ordered the unlock for EE network.

i mostly assumed this as i had read around on the net that all the phones4u 920's are on the ee network. also when i first booted up my phone it took me to the EE website as the default homepage of the browser. hope this helps

Good news. I just hope carriers don't get in the way of this being pushed out to the masses. i imagine those who bought sim free will get it earlier.

Hopefully not, the always on WiFi will be a big plus!

Plus I think it mentioned Stability fixes...I've had one freeze so far on my 920!

same, i have not had any crashes or freezes with my 920 until yesterday when it happened twice, once the screen just when blank and nothing was working, i didnt know if it was on or off and the power button wasnt doing anything.

i looked up a force reset with the vol down, power and cam button help together and it did something cos the phone was able to start up again. i was a bit worried cos when i was reading about doing this it said all my data would be lost. since tho the phone has been working perfectly. still happy, generally i still find the os less temperamental than android or iOS.

does anybody know what the force restart procedure is for the 920?

also i looked at the 8x yesterday, was so uncomfortable to hold in you hand. thats the problem with phones with thin edges, one of the reasons i didn't like my s3, the 920 is equally as large, but fits so much more nicely in the hand. :)

It's definitely the Vol Down + Power for about 10+ seconds...I had to google that last night, I froze on the lockscreen!

I have to say though definitely enjoying being back on Windows Phone after selling my One XL, which I'm almost surprised to be saying :p
