I timed this well , I don't normally rush to update firmware but I was aware of the 5000 hr bug, Somehow I failed to look into the firmware releases and flashed 10G (I just love the simple numbering system ) Well the 2 256gb in raid are silly fast ! but I have been sensing drive related problems, I thought maybe I was just saturating the Intel controller etc...

Question, Has anyone been through this loop ? I now read the Intel RST driver has issues, do I go with this latest release or find some old 000F firmware, sadly this system is SSD only so I need really to have it right from the getgo

sorry started a new thread with this as no one replied in the M4 thread

I had problems with 10G with drives not being detected at POST. Went back to 000F and no problems. I believe there's another release out now though haven't tried it.

Well due to the lack of interest on this one I got hold of the latest and 000F firmware and I've given the Latest H firmware a try...picked up the drives still setup in the raid array, time will tell, had some blue screens with 10G and it just did not feel right anyway.

Was just trying to short cut by asking around but I'll do it my way, just something I don't like to do on a new build when I'm setting up clocks and voltages and windows blue screens are totally unhelpful regarding info.

I think the Disk benchmarks are all rubbish for reliable consistent results but I don't see much speed difference between G and H like others have either ;)

I had problems with 10G and the odd disappearing drive, since 040h firmware ts been pretty much rock solid.
