I prefer 4
Yea it's not a importance but I like the look of twins that's my own personal pro to the car I know I can get a mx5 with twins but would have to pay extra as for most of em don't come standard I also like the 17" alloys that come standard on the swift too
Currently what is making me more stray to the swift is that the swift (on paper) is faster with a better mpg even the 1.8 mx5 is only a tiny bit faster then the swift and the swift is more practical as in 4 seats and a bigger boot I really can't see any possative sides to the mx5 as of yet
It's more fun, pretty big positive in most petrol heads book.
Yea that's why I was debating on getting the mx5 but I from what iv seen of the swift vvt 1.6 sport is that it's just as sporty (apart from hight) the suspension on swift is better then the mk2
Owning a 1.6 SSS, I can tell you, on the motorway is not somewhere you want to be in that car unless you like the following:
Bleeding ears
Bad back
Tiredness
The SSS is fantastic, it's great warm hatch, but on the A roads and town, anything outside of that (i.e. motorway) it's a poor show as there's no 6th gear and 5th is geared to just 500rpm lower than 4th. Run over a cat's eye and all four wheels will get air as the suspension is so stiff. If you blow on the throttle, you might make 38mpg average.
Would I change it? No![]()
No the £300 is the dif from the 1.6 to 1.8 the instance will e for me about £2400 a year on the 1.6 and £2700 for the 1.8 the instance is so high because of the area I live in
You don't happen to live in the BB postcode area do you? I'm paying 2500 for my car, and I'm 23 with 1yr NCBMost import specialist brokers didn't even want to touch me due to living in BB.
HaHa, I used to live in Burnley. Now live in Moss Side, Manchester and it is even worse. Really should get out tha ghetto.
I actually want a mx5 mk3.5 sport next but finances won't allow at the moment. It's a totally different type of car to own really, you need to drive both but also decide if you can live with 2 seats and small boot and soft top (unless you pay for a hard top I guess) Ive decided its time I can.
