Sell the Evo privately and don't take a p/ex imo.

If he thinks he can get £4.5k for it (the M3) then let him!

Releasing money by taking on a potential money pit is not the best of ideas imo.

The M3 sounds like MAYBE £500 profit and there is a good scope for it to cause you headache

You might be planning on it being fun but it could be so ruined it drives like turd anyway

He has just had it the last few weeks, don't think I will be doing the deal anyway as it's not worth the hassle, if the m3 was worth more then it may have been worth doing.

Thanks all for the advice, just don't know the market, if it was a case of it's worth £4000 min then it would have been worth taking it in part ex. He's only offering £1k with it.

They are very slow to sell unless cheap and then they just look like crappy examples, the good ones are worth good money but will take an age to sell, I paid 2.5k for my 96 cab, mate had it for sale at 3k for months and that's with low mileage and fsh. They are not cars to buy and move on for a profit really.

Nice colour though... was never a fan, prefered the E46 is it, that's the best looking M3 they ever did, quite timeless me thinks.
