My favourite part is all the money he spends on Starbucks mugs.

I mean, if you want a cup with a handle to put a hot drink in, then there are several more unbranded mugs that will cost you pence.

Failure to understand people will buy what they want is strong with this one.

And just because Raymond Lin thinks that saying 'just my 2p' means that you somehow can't then think the person is being a ****, that's just my 2p!

Don't forget the £20 odd he spent on three recycled glass/plastic tumblers. Something you can get for pennies. JUST MY 2P LOL.

Don't think lin is getting it, Rossi wants a quiet gaming machine and has achieved this in what he has purchased. A Mac Mini is not a viable alternative to a quiet gaming machine.

The point buying that no matter how daft his purchase was - and, frankly, I'd rate it high up the daftlist - you are probably the last one who can get away with branding it a waste of money given the vast amount of money you spend on quite literally nothing and document it constantly in this thread :p

FYI, I am trying to cut down :p

An i5 Mac Mini is not worthless.

A £1k spent on £200 monitor, a case and some watercooling doesn't run windows. His existing machine runs windows.

He spent £1k on no performance gain. Did he not?

How have you managed to miss the point by so far?

A mac mini is totally worthless when he already has a high spec gaming pc. He could spend £10k on cooling and silencing and it would still be a better idea than buying a mac mini in this situation.

A grown man? £200 on Taylor Swift merchandise? Taylor Swift, that awful pop "singer" whose music is targeted at teenagers?

Hmm.

I think you may have missed the point actually.

Computer to game on thats not silent + mac mini for anything not requiring graphics that you would prefer quietness for. You could then also do other things on it while you are playing games!

But that's so totally pointless. He has a laptop and a gaming pc, why would he need another computer? Just to make life even more awkward?

Thats helped cheers, if I'm still confused after this i'll head to the photography forum, but am I correct in thinking a 55-200 and 18-200 will have the same max zoom?

Indeed, the 18-200 with go much wider and has an 11x zoom compared to the 3.8x zoom of the 55-200mm but their longest focal length is identical.

The 18-200 is just easier as you won't have to keep changing lenses, but likely not as high quality.

But he wants a computer to game on which is quiet?

So buying a Mac Mini wouldn't achieve anything because the machine he wants silent would still be loud. What he 'prefers' quietness for is when he's gaming...

There is no logic to what Raymond is saying, it was just daft!

Then he needs better speakers/headphones.

Indeed. Less Mac Mini, more stuff.

How much and where did you get those foam tips?

I want some for my Vsonic iems!

I bought a micro USB to USB cable for connecting my camera to the phone, arrived today....turns out I needed mini USB to USB.

FML.

Have you used them yet? Recommend?

There's okay, you have to roll them up and let them expand in your ear so you can't just ram them in like normal rubber ones, won't be able to tell how good they are until I'm on the tube with lots of noise around. Struggling to get a decent seal in my left ear with these and the stock buds, bit annoying really.

*edit* You have to pull your ear up a bit them put them in, nice and tight now :)
