People have been dissing the Steam sale when EA have such crap offers as 50% off Mass Effect 3? It was 33% earlier so it looks like that is as good as its gonna get...

EA always have crap offers though, Steam don't

If the games i want aren't up by the end of the sale i'll no doubt have a moan but there's plenty of time left yet.

to be fair to EA though - I've just managed to dump 6 DVD boxes as I found all my old EA games registered/activated retrospectively on Origin

so not all bad

Bit sneaky how steam added all 50% off all COD titles but exclude Black Ops 2.

Come on Dark Souls i know you can do better

Yeah I did that too, it's nice to be able to have them there. Plus a bunch of EA games I have on Steam registered with Origin also when I entered the CD keys.

Can't connect either, and CSGO is apparently a virus all of a sudden accordign to my AVG :S

If you can get as far as opening the client or even offline mode? Have you guys tried switching to a different connection location on steam.? That might help. Think for UK you can switch between Manchester and London.

Soooo... Buy NFS Shift 2 from the sale, doesn't launch through Steam. Have to copy the key to Origin and install from there. Pretty annoying!

Excellent, especially if you liked 1404 the core gameplay is still there with obvious updates for modern tech etc.

nope, steam loads again however still no connection

Must be a network issue on the steam end if there so many folk affected. I just tried it from here in the north and it fine.

So close to pulling the trigger on Dark Souls. Just wondering if Steam is likely to have it for even less on the last day, like it normally does with some games?

I'm in the same boat chap, just spent most of this morning playing Sim City 4, which is very outdated. But still a good laugh

I built a fairly decent sized city and then sent a ton of robots in to destroy it all haha.

Thinking the same thing. I bought too much already but i know this is one of the ones i am keeping my eye on. You can roughly get around the price on other sellers. So I am not sure, might hold out for it.

Only buy things that are on a daily deal, otherwise just make a list and buy everything on the last day. Then buying something that is later reduced is completely avoided
