Is my SSD dying?

My computer has completely frozen three times today requiring me to restart the computer and every time I restart I get a message saying I can't boot from the selected boot drive. Unplugging the SSD and plugging it back in again gets it working again but it'll happen again a few hours later. SSD life says my SSD is at 97% but is there any other software that could test my SSD for errors? It's a Crucial M4 128GB bought around a year ago.

There have been recent issues the some of the firmware versions for the M4. Which version are you running?

I think I'm actually using 0009 as I heard the later releases had a couple of issues. Would you recommend updating the firmware?

I would. 000f is the one to have, not the latest one. You might have the 5000 hour bug.

Nothing 'wrong' with it. Some people have had problems. 000f seems the most stable.
