AWESOME R1600T Speaker deal for the next week this Christmas!!!!

They are nice speakers and they do perform well. Removing job position from the equation... I think youve made a bumble personally but they are still good speakers for the money and you should enjoy them.

Not hearing the R1600Ts at this point is a good thing though as I have a feeling you may be a little disappointed by comparison.

For the £50 of the R1600T's then I am sure I would've been very happy. However, I doubt I shall be disappointed as they are good. I got them for £70 posted, which is about half the normal price :) Brand new too.

May not be as good for gaming as the R1600T's but they will be used a lot for music, and personally, I am happy :) Like you say, it's probably a good thing I have not heard the R1600T's as I am sure they are great for the money.

EDIT: 300th post :o

lol, I know what your saying but the R1600T will be better for music and not as good for games. the slight off balance of high treble and boomy bass of the HK will please you more in games as it will also help if the game situation is right. Music the R1600Ts are boss! Proper speaker set afterall :)

:( thought they where going to be on offer till midday :(

Anyone wanting a set at £49.99inc must post in the CS section. 5UB will help you out but you must do it before 12 today! Except for you ofcourse, ill give you until the end of the day as its clear you were looking to buy before 12noon :)

Ah, wrong way round I got it :P Fair enough. I just like the idea of a subwoofer :D One day, I might have both

I just wanted a half decent set to run my PC off of all the time. And I like good quality speakers. Thanks for the info mate, appreciate it.

Don't worry guys am going to go for the r1900's on Monday (as that's when I get paid and looking at the bank balance don't think I can justify the spend until then :P )

Plus they are on this week only :)

Also the s2000 seem to have a massive drop this week are they worth the extra over the r1900?

God yes :D

Just to Clarify the situation of the price of these speakers.

Suggests that if I call OC today and buy these speakers along with something else (to get over the £50 mark for free delivery) then I would get the speakers For the £49.99 as advertised at the start of this thread and not £77.99 inc VAT the appears when you click the link at the start of the thread.

Is the correct ??

Can someone give me an answer to this please? i would like to buy before 4 pm

^^ Post in CS section or give them a call :P

For anyones thats bought them couple of things I found - bass response improves quite a bit after you put ~100 hours of music through them - not overly one to put too much value on breaking drivers in but these definitely seem to see some improvement to the low range with useage.

They work best with atleast 5-6 inch clearance on the rear ports - I originally had mine 1-2 inches from a wall and they sounded quite constrained til I redid mysetup so they were about a foot from the wall.

Received my R1600T's today and I absolutely love them. Just testing them out, so far I am very impressed with the sound being produced. Now I am tempted by the S2000 set for my PS3/Media Centre.... :o:p

I need a bigger desk now.... (Well one that isn't bending in the middle at least)

Really liking them, think I'll get some wall mounted stands for them -ocuk should stock a few options..

Mine turned up today, they had a UK plug with them

Mine just arrived, UK plug attached so no adapter needed. :)

Anyone using some settings to make them any better? Heard they're best when adjusted with an equalizer or is it personal choice?

Lol so many complaints of European adapters, I live inFrance and got a UK one :roll eyes
Awesome speakers for the money, very pleased with them indeed!

aha! Hard luck matey. I'd have just chopped it off and put a UK one on if needed. Hearing stuff in music that wasn't there before to my ears!

Was using a very cheap Logitech X230 2.1 set that was too bass heavy. Can also hear clear speech when watching films now :)

Really kicking myself for putting up with my crap speakers for so long, everything I've chucked at these have sounded brilliant!

Slight bit of buyer's remorse going on here. The positive comments tell me they are great value for £50 though :D

Can't wait to receive them now!
