Steam Christmas Sale 2012

I have to agree on the prices this year steam sale not as good as last years

In 2011 Xmas sale I paid £4.99 for the Grand Theft Auto Complete Pack, this year it is £8.74

Any good RPGS people recommend?

Couldn't get into Oblivion when I had it on the 360 years ago, but managed to get into Skyrim after modding the hell out of it & I already have the ME series on 360

Was Anno cheaper last time it came up? I can't remember

Nah, it was £11.99 last time also.

Witcher 1+2, Fallout 3 + New Vegas, Dragon Age Origins, Torchlight 2. You could also try Oblivion again if you're doing it on the PC, since you'd be able to highly modify it the same as you did with Skyrim.

I've gone for Witcher 2. Never played an RPG type game before and generally don't have the patience to learn how to play games or invest the time in them. so I'm not sure how I'll get on with it but want to give it a shot.

Surely you're kidding? Playing the game its been one of the most impressive i've played in a while of late. Sure, if you want to run around pointing your screen 2 inches away from things i'm sure you'll find disappointment, but if close ups of leaves are your thing then maybe spend more time in the garden?

I found it a good game, not perfect, and visually pleasing.

I'm not kidding. Vistas are quite nice sometimes but generally this game is poor graphically. Looks like a console port that it is.

Shoddy textures, very poor AI, boring after a while, story is very poor and it is not even close to my GOTY.

I'll shut up now. This is just my opinion.

Tempted with Oblivion again, gonna wait a little while longer to see if any better things come up

GMG have the third cheap today. You can throw another 30% off when you purchase digitally as well.

I picked up the Digital Deluxe Edition for £7.50ish

Huh? I can see ME3 up for £7.50 and the Deluxe up for £17.50. Even with 30% off that isn't £7.50? Not that I can find the code anyway.

Get The Witchers....so damn cheap for both at the moment and should be part of any rpg fan's collection.

Shame the second is a terrible port and the first runs like **** on modern hardware.

It runs flawless, getting 80-100fps constant near enough....there's just a few gfx options that can ruin the fps somewhat like the depth of field ones.
